The Lake
I ran to the lake. The lake was 3 blocks away from my house. It was really big, and ran into a river, which rain into the ocean. It was the only place I felt safe. I started to make it rain. it wasn't really raining, it was just some droplets falling from the sky. every week it didn't rain, I added more water to the lake. I felt better. A breeze went by, and carried some seeds with puffs on them around. They looked like little snowflakes. I caught one and then let it free. I looked towards the park. The park was big grassy field that no one had mowed in years. There were lots of big trees for shade. I saw a familiar figure under one of the trees. It was cheshire. He lived right a cross the street from the park and the lake. I ran over to him."Cheshire! Hi!" I called.
"Oh. Hey Juliana!" hed said as he sat up.
"I told you, it's Julie, not Juliana!" I said, a little annoyed.
"Hey, didn't you get the call from Luke?" he asked.
"No. Because I told him to call you guys. Oh, wow. Were both late. Let's get to point 6 now!" I cried, looking at my watch.
" Hey, your right. You go ahead. I'll just be packing up my CDs. Be there in 5 minutes." he said, already starting to organize his CDs. I started to walk to the old abandoned building. That was point 6. We only had 6 meeting points though. 1 was the park, 2 was the lake, 3 was Raven's basement, 4 was the orphanage, where Cloe lived, and 5 was the mall. I know, the mall, but there are stores in there that nobody goes into. Like the toilet paper store. Finally, point 6 came into view. I ran into the building.
"Julie! Ooh! I'm so glad your here! Where's Cheshire? He should be here by now. Where is he? WHERE? WHERE? WHERE?" said Cloe. She was pretty talkative, and since she ran on electricity, it made her even more hyper.
"Don't worry Clo, he's at the park, packing up his CDs. I just came from there. He said he'd be here-" I was cut off by the door opening.
"I'M HERE!!!!!!" Cheshire bellowed, and Cloe came running up to him. I saw Raven in a corner, and went up to Luke. I smoothed his brown hair and he did the same.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked him.
"I don't know. Maybe run away. As long as no one finds out about this, we'll be fine. Destroying the moon was pretty noticeable." He held onto me as he leaned against the wall.
By then the others had come over and we had formed a small but tight circle.
"I agree with luke. Let's go run away. It's not like I have family or anything." said Cloe, not as hyper as she was before.
"No way. Let's uh...Make a fake moon!" said Cheshire.
"That won't work. what we need is to convince everyone that the moon was stupid." said Raven.
"Hmm...Or, we could go into outer space and move a rock and draw a picture of the moon on it. an then-" Cheshire was cut off.
"SHUT UP!!!" screamed Raven.
"sorry" Cheshire said quietly, shrinking back.
"Hey, let's not scream. I have a plan. but you won't understand until tomorrow night. Meet me at point 2 tomorrow night, at 8:00 sharp. It will work. I know so." I said.
Then Cloe put her hand on my shoulder.
"Let's do this." she whispered.
and we all went back home.
