Heavy D was known for rapping in the 80's and 90's. His Awards was Platinum records for "Livin' large",Big tyme, and peaceful journey. He also won a gold for "Blue funk". On November 8, 2011, He had an major blood clot and was rushed to the hospital. Unluckily, he didn't make it. They had his memorial in Mount Vernon New york to remember him. he inspired some kids to become rappers.
