Trouble-Draco
Only a few hours later it seemed, me and Hermione were heading home from the last day of the term(and-hurray!-last day of exams). The train journey would have been tiresome and irritating, if not for Hermione. We talked about ourselves all the way home, always finding out things that we'd never known about each other. Every time I said something to her, her eyes shone and her whole face lit up like a chinese lantern. We held hands for the whole trip, only occasionally stopping as Harry or Ron glanced our way. They obviously knew what had happened, because they kept whispering to each other and glaring in our direction. Finally Hermione got fed up with this, and went over to talk to them in private. I looked up at her, confused. She smiled softly and squeezed my hand. "Back in a second" she said. However, even right at the end of the journey, at my stop, Hermione didn't come back or even look at me! I wondered miserably if she was having doubts. After all, we were in different houses and differnt races- Father might not have approved of Muggle and Wizard relationships.
When I got back home, Mother hugged me, but her eyes looked worried and her hands were shaking by her sides as we walked into the living room. I sat down on a chair in front of Father. Mother signalled for Dobby, our house-elf, to leave the room. He stayed by the door, but we were all too tired and depressed,as we always were, to care right now. Father coughed. "Draco!" Father said. I ignored him. "Draco! When youv'e STOPPED looking at our ignorant little house-rodent will you please listen to me!!" I istantly turned my attention to him. He sighed. "I recieved some interesting owl-post from Proffessor Snape today stating that you have been having frankly distusting relations with mud-bloods- Miss Hermione Granger, to be precise. Is this correct?" His eyes penetrated me like a burning hot iron. I turned away from him, slightly ashamed. Father stood up form his chair, fuming. "I ASKED YOU IF THAT WAS CORRECT?!!" he yelled. I heard Dobby run away from the doorway at the other end of the room. I stood up too, and walked over to Father. I had just had enough of him telling me what to do- trying to make little clones of himself. "Oh, why does it matter to you?!" I yelled. "Can't you see that I'm just trying to be happy?" I asked. "Dementors don't need to feel happy..." Father rumbled. "Get a grip, Dad!" I yelled. "I've always told you, over and over again that I don't want to be a stupid Dementor, but you and Mum never listen!!
" I strolled towards Father so I was right in his face, and shouted, "I DON'T WANT TO BE YOU, OK?! I NEVER HAVE AND I NEVER WILL BE!!! I LOVE HERMIONE AND SHE LOVES ME, SO WHY DOES ANYTHING ELSE MATTER?!" I screamed. Mother rose up from her chair too. "Oh, for goodness' sake, she's just a stupid mudblood..." Mum growled. "SHE IS NOT A MUDBLOOD!!DON'T YOU DARE CALL HER THAT!!!" I glared at Mum. "Draco..." Mother said quietly. She walked up to me and tried to take me into her arms. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" I screeched, and stormed up into my bedroom, where I spent the rest of the afternoon.
