Harrys 4th year,Jamies 3rd year-Yule Ball

13 year old,Jamie Black ran happily to the Gryffindor common room.After giving The Fat Lady the password,she skipped happily into the room.She was so happy that she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings and bumped into someone."Woops!Sorry Ron!"She cried."It's alright.So,um,I was wondering...since everyone else is already going I thought maybe you'd want to go with me....AS FRIENDS!!"He muttered.Jamie sighed."I'm sorry,Ron.But someones already asked me.But just so you know,if you would've asked me earlier I would've said yes."Jamie said smiling.Ron watched her leave then returned to Harry & Hermione."So?How'd it go?"Harry asked."She's already been asked."Ron said heaving a sigh."Aw.I'm sorry Ron!"Hermione apologised."It's not your fault,Hermione."Ron sighed."Who's she going with?"Harry asked protectively."Um...I didn't ask."Ron answered slightly embarassed that he hadn't thought of asking.

The night of the Yule Ball came and everyone in the Gryffindor common room was excited.Jamie walked down from the girl's dormitory and met Ginny."Wow!You look...great."Ginny said sincerely."Thanks.Oh look!Here comes Neville!"Jamie squealed.Neville took Ginnys hand,nodded to Jamie and walked out of the Portrait Hole.Jamie smiled and followed them out.As she reached the Great Hall,she looked around for her date."Jamie.."A voice said behind her.She turned and Draco Malfoy was standing there."Finally!"He laughed.Jamie smiled."Sorry!"She apologised.He took her hand and together they walked into the Great Hall.After the champions had there dance,the rest,including Jamie and Draco took to the dance floor.Harry saw who his sister was dancing with and looked confused before his expression turned angry.He stomped across the floor and slowly the dancers stopped dancing and watched him confused.He marched up to Draco and Jamie."What in the name of Merlins beard are you doing with HIM??"Harry screamed.The whole Great Hall stopped and watched them."H-he asked me and I said yes."Jamie stammered."Get the hell away from him and stay that way!"Harry fumed and he stomped off to the door.Jamie started to cry.Hermione,Ginny & Luna ran forward to comfort there friend.Draco looked unsure of what to do he stood there awkwardly until Blaise and Pansy pulled him away.As Jamie sat in the Gryffindor common room she stared at the fire.She watched it flicker and dance and had the strange urge to dance too.Then,Sirius' head popped up."Dad!"Jamie cried.Sirius smiled."Hey Jamie.How's school?"Sirius asked her."Okay...but guess what?"Jamie asked and then,without an answer,she proceeded to tell him about the scene in the Great Hall."Harry's just being protective.You and me are all he has left."Sirius explained to her.But then the sound of footsteps carried out through the common room and Sirius disapeared.She turned and stood.There,in the doorway,was Harry."I'm sorry about being so protective over you.It's just...I don't know,it's Draco you were dancing with.Why him?Why not...Ron?"Harry questioned."I dunno Harry.Why Parvati?Why not Ginny?"Jamie retaliated.Harry shrugged and pulled her into a hug.Jamie lay her head on his shoulder.She was tall,yet not taller than Harry.He smiled and the two stood there until Hermione came in."Hey guys."She whispered before walking up the stairs.Jamie followed waving to Harry as she walked.
