suspicious
After everything that has happened in my life, I should have left the house the moment my mom mentioned an evil imaginary friend, but I didn’t. Since attending college for three years now, I refused to believe in unseen things, even all which happened to not only my sister, but to me. I’ve been thrown down stairs, torn through walls and locked in the basement by things I couldn’t scientifically explain.I stayed, finished my laundry, put everything away and sat down in the living room to watch TV. Moments later I started hearing the cats (there were five of them) all hiss at the same time. The hissing would die down a little like something was backing down from a fight, but then start right back up and grow into that full on eerie warning sound cats make.
Thinking the cats were fighting or something I ran to the end hall where I thought they would be. I didn’t see them and instead heard a door close to my right. I turned around and walked to the bathroom (I passed it and a few other rooms which were to the left when I ran down the hall), the door doesn’t close properly so I just pushed it opened and walked in. It was empty but behind the door was the towel closet (which does close). I opened it to the sound of tiny scratching noises on the door, and out came all five cats.
I turned the handle to see how they had all managed to close the door on their own, and realizing it was more than impossible I ran from the room. Back in the living room I turned back on the TV and sat on the couch looking out the window to see if there was a shady looking car. There wasn’t any, but only then did I realize I hadn’t turned off the TV when I went to go stop the cat fight. I hopped over the railing and bolted outside to Kristin’s.
