Chapter 38- My Legacy

Everything was dark. There was no sound, no thought, no feeling. The memories played through my mind, but they felt like they belonged to someone else. I felt like a stranger, watching someone else life..... Who am I?
As my mind drifted in the void, another touched me.
"Solus. Solus listen to me."
That voice...
"I know you'll probably forget this, because you are young, but there's something I must tell you."
Suddenly there was a light, and I looked upon a memory I never knew I had. It was bright, and warm, and peaceful.
A man stood in front of me. He had 4 angel wings on his back, 2 looked to be made of gold while the other two were white as a dove. He had messy black hair and a large thin golden halo wrapped around his head. It floated suspended around him, and I knew I beheld a angel like myself.
"Solus... You are my pride and glory. My wish upon a star, and my peace of mind. There's a great burden ahead of you that you must carry if you wish to grow as a person. Its your duty to uphold it.
Another voice, one quite young, entered the memory. Though I could not find its source.
"But.. But dad what kind of burden will I carry? It sounds scary..."
The man smiled and rubbed my head.
"You'll see soon, son. One day you'll see. But when all hope is lost you will be the bringer of that hope. You'll be a hero."
"I don't feel like a hero..."
"No-one really does until they become one. Don't worry child, you will do great things. I know you can."
"But what about you?"
"I will eventually take my place among the stars, as our legends say, and join my ancestors."
The Childs voice sniffled, and I knew it was going to cry.
"but I don't want you to die!"
He hugged me and whispered.
"I know.. but it happens to all of us."
"What will I do without you..?"
The man hesitated, choosing his words carefully.
"You will do great things. You don't need me to make gold, do you?"
"N-no..."
"Its the same in life. You can do many things on your own, my child, that you probably never dreamed of. Keep a open mind and true heart, and you'll never go astray."
"Daddy?"
"Yes Solus?"
"I'm s-scared."
"Don't be. Hey, I want you to know something."
"Y-yeah?"
"No matter what you do, where you go, who you meet, nor what you become, I will always be your father,
Just as you will always be my Legacy."
