Chapter 2- Golden Boy
Everyone was talking, and the whole room was filled with noise. The teacher stood up and spoke, effectively quieting the class."We have a new student today. You may come in Solus."
A boy walked in. He looked about 14, with light brown shaggy hair, milky white skin, and big eyes that changed to go with his background. But that wasn't what made everyone gasp.
On his back were 2 white wings. Beautiful gold looked like it was sprayed on his wings, speckled among the white. His wings dragged a bit on the ground from their size. A big, thin halo circled his head, looking as if it was made of pure gold. A aura seemed to be around him, making you feel alive and weak compared to his sheer power. His build was skinny, and somewhat short. He looked completely innocent.
"Hello! My name is Solus and I am 856 years old. But in angel years I am 15."
The class was quiet, stunned by his aura and the fact one of the legends themselves was standing in front of them.
"Your 856?!", a boy piped up, surprised and shocked like the rest of you.
"y-yes." He looked a bit uncomfortable, and shifted his feet.
The class suddenly burst with questions, all trying to ask at once.
"How old do you have to be in order to be a adult?"
"Are your powers really that great?"
"Did you live through the great hunting or were you born after?"
Solus looked overwhelmed. Finally the teacher stood up
"That's enough class! Settle down. Solus, you may sit over there." As she spoke she motioned to a empty chair next to you. Solus sat down. Looking at him you felt your skin tingle, as if all the magic in the air was actually making it crawl. Solus was quiet, keeping to himself and writing down things as the teacher taught the class.
You couldn't stop staring at him. It was like you were under a spell.
"Ash, what is the anwser?"
"h-huh?" The class was all looking at you, snickering.
The teacher spoke again, speaking calmly and slowly so you wouldn't miss it "What is the answer to the problem?"
"U-um..." The class all leaned in to hear your response, knowing it would be embarrassing.
Just before you spoke you heard Solus say, "miss? I may have the solution"
You turned and saw Solus raising his hand in the air. He glanced at you, then looked back at the teacher. Your heart beat faster from being nervous.. or was it just nervousness? Before you could figure out your emotions the teacher nodded and smiled.
"Its always good to see a new student stepping in. Alright solus, how much would Stephanie have?"
He didn't even hesitate. "52"
The teacher smiled "that is correct. Great job".
She went back to teaching the class. You felt relieved, and looked at solus to thank but he was back in his work. His aura felt untoucheable, so you decided after class to talk to him

Chapter 9 is done
After all, I am a whiz with quizzes
Susie went on a walk across See More the park. Suddenly--
The word 'suddenly' adds suspense, and makes you want to know what happens next. You read on, often quicker, to match the pace of the story.
When your ending a chapter, put something that finishes your thought, yet has potential to open up the next chapter. I'm not sure how to make an example of this, so just look at the last sentence or words at the end of my chapters. It SHOULD make you think, make you wonder, what is going to happen next. Or even make some theories in your head for later in the book.
Out of curiosity, what do you think is going to happen next in my book?
@moonston
I hope I'm not confusing. that's one tip.
@moonston
For example, Ash (which can be a boy or a girl), has problems with their magic, and feels like Solus is kind and mysterious. She thinks he is powerful, but holding See More back.
In Solus's opinion (which I don't want to spoil anything so I'll be vague), doesn't feel right in the class. He is different, and everyone knows he's differernt, so he hides his secrets and thoughts well. In chapter 7, he starts taking more notice in Ash, cause she helped him.
