are gender roles bad? do you think it's bad for girl to be told to like princesses, pink, and makeup, and boys to like dinosaurs, blue, and anything action. i think it's wrong and hate to do this, and i think it could change a kids life.

It's dumb.
I have a few (online) friends who are bronies, which you should probably know what those are.
Then there's me, I have nothing to do with that girly stuff.
People can just simply love what the like, and be them. Not what society says they have to like.

Ok touchy subject.
Be what you want to be and like what you like.
As a guy I'm NOT supposed to like pink and even though its Not my favorite color I don't have a problem with it.
But let me put it this way, its better to have parents who are showing they care and trying to do things as best as they can, Then to be in an abusive house or on the street.
If your parents are telling you what to like and what not to, its only because they care and want the best for you.
If you like See More horror movies then that's your movie preference, horror isn't my cup of tea but if you like them, then watch them.
But we tend to be all just working up to sitting in an office nowadays and that's just......common.
Male or Female we should at least know how to cook instead of spending money on fast food or restaurants all the time.
If there's something you want to be, construction worker, game designer, prom queen/king, computer designer, writer, artist, pilot, or something else then go for it (as long ax its not something stupid like becoming a hobo)
For the only thing worse than setting your goals to high and not reaching them, is setting them to low and achieving them.
Dream BIG!

I think it's really stupid for someone to tell you what to like. Who cares if a girl likes dinosaurs? Or blue? OR action? And who cares if a boy likes pink? Or wears makeup? Or likes princesses?
By the way, my aunt's an archeologist, my favorite colour is cerulean (shade of blue) and I like the Hunger Games, which DEFINITELY counts as action. Pink is a big thing I'm my school (everyone including Boyd wears it), BTS's Jin's favorite colour is pink, Kpop bands wear makeup a lot See More (including boy bands), and...not sure about the princesses though BUT if a boy does that's perfectly fine.
GOSH MY FINGERS HURT!!! :P

It's sterotipical for people to think that, about guys and girls.
When I was 2 years old, the only time I would ever have a barbie in my hand would be me trying to rip it's head off.

To me, yes. People should be who they want to be and who they KNOW they are. People should never be told what they have to do in their future, what they should like, what they should believe, etc. We're all free to be who we want, do what we want, and like what we want, whether it be good or bad..(I wish my parents understood that)
But if they like what the gender roles say they should like, that's okay. It's their choice to like those things, unless they are being forced
