The Incarnations of Immortality series! They're older books but very good. They're sci-fi fantasy. The first book is called "On a Pale Horse". The Septimus Heap series is a very good magic series, 7 books long.

IDK about books, well, the magic theif is pretty good, but Dishonored is a game that fits pretty much all those genres except biography #steampunkassassin
