If space is infinite, why is it ever expanding? How?

It's not infinite, but it's expanding so quickly that we'll never be able to explore it all

Space isn't infinite. However, at the moment, it is expanding at such a fast rate that we cannot explore the entirety of it, making it seem infinite.
