what is your definition of insanity?

I have two definitions, and they're based on context:
1) A mental disorder, but I think it starts when you push away your family and friends. Then illusions, voices, false senses come after that. Insanity is a tragic disorder to have because it can wreck your life and it's hard to understand. People should talk about it seriously and not shake it off or pretend to have it at any age.
2) An expression for "that was crazy." -Even though I believe it is a serious mental disorder, See More I also recognize that the word is a synonym for crazy and I'm fine if people use it that way. I'm not going to be upset if someone looked at a statue and says "it's paralyzed" because "paralyzed" does means "not moving." Although, excessive use of the word "insane" gets on my nerves.

sanity i almost lost all of it out of it 99% of sanity is gone i only have 1% of sanity to hold on to and relay on!

insanity is a mental disorder, as well as something you can plead in a lawsuit when you can't distinguish right from wrong when an act against law is committed. claiming to me insane, or psychopathic, is not funny or cute, and is actually just offensive. there's no better See More definition than what it is; a mental issue that so many people are suffering from and a title that edgy fourth graders and sad white girls™ claim to be.

Im not trying to say its cute or funny... because its absolutely not. I was recently diagnosed with ASPD. So no, it’s not cute. It’s not funny either... it’s terrifying. It’s fúcking horrible.

For me, insanity is getting pushed beyond your limits and you can't control yourself and what you do. You just go on impulses. You don't listen to reason
