A really hard riddle 2 fathers and 2 sons go fishing, they each catch a fish, how come they brought home only three fish?

To make is easier, I'll name them. So we have Bob, Connecticut, and Darkness. Bob is Connecticut's son, and Connecticut is Darkness's son. Therefore, there are two fathers (Connecticut and Darkness) and two sons (Connecticut and Bob).

Well I looked over the other comments to see if it was answered correctly but you needed more detail so there were only 3 people on the boat so it was a grandpa,the grandpa's son and the son's son so therefor they only brought 3 fish home.

One father had a son, that son has one son of its own. So the father is a son and a father of its own! Easy..
