Do I need anything to be an author? I love writing and my goal in life is to be a successful author/illustrator/english teacher and I'm not sure if I need anything to prepare. Please don't post any negative comments.

Ok, to actually write: Creativity, imagination, originality, and brains
To become a writer: Guts, perseverance, a tough heart, and hope
To get your book to the top: an editor, a publisher, good reviews, and a wide fan base

Well you need to know how to draw and have a pasain for writeing be perped to be turned down by puplishers they go hard and just good books and you must know who your going to wite your books to kids or grown-ups or teens. That's all you need you daside the rest.oh and you need to be origonal have a great sence of humor and a wide fan-base.

Just a good imagination, a sense of humor and you are done!
Maybe a bit of creativity and all the essentials (publisher, fanbase, etc)

I think you need nice imagine! (Not just fantasy lol) And know how to write that people will get excited, want to follow you book, etc. I mean interesting! If it too boring and way too professional I don't people think want to read boring/uninteresting stuff :P, You might try write some story on internet like qfeast too! When people read it, they sure give you some feed back! (Not sure they ALL would give you or not.. XD)
