Am I depressed? Okay, so my mom often tells me that I need to stop complaining all of the time. I agree, but to me, I'm just being philosophical. And I admit, there's some complaining woven in there. I mostly complain about the earth, humans, lumberjacks, hunters, polluters... my parents say I'm probably not depressed but sometimes I just cry and cry because I am thinking about everything wrong with the world, and I feel like no one else cares so all of the worries go on me. And it's just a weight pushing me into a deep, dark hole, and no matter what I can't stop thinking about how bad the world is now. Am I depressed?

The best thing you can do is do something about all the bad things. You can do a bake sale and raise money for a cause you care about. Or you could, for example, donate your hair to Locks of Love. I think you are feeling helplessness, not depression.

There is a chance but I think that you should talk to a therapist or maybe a guidance counselor as opposed to people on the Internet

Well, first off, your parents are wrong. You should express your opinions and tell the world how you feel. Now, the whole sobbing thing isn't normal. Yes, this world is messed up. Yes, it's hard to come to terms with. Yes, it hurts to know but tears won't make it better. Instead of putting your energy into crying, try making the world a better place! I know it's hard and sometimes all you need is a friend so feel free to talk to me whenever you want :)

Depression comes in lots of forms. You might want to see a psychologist, or try to meditate!

Always remember that if bad things didn't happen, the good things would be special and good. It's just a way of life. Also pray to God and he will help you I promise.
