New: Saved Links

Now you can save items that you find on Qfeast to check out later when you have more time

To save something you see on Qfeast:
- find the thing you want to save:
- click the "save"
- works for quizzes, stories, questions, polls and pages

To view the things you've saved: See More
- click the "bookmarks" icon, near the "conversations" icon
- only you can view your "Saved Links"

Reverted back to the old layout (vertical list), as it seems that the grid layout was confusing many users due to variable item height

What's New:

- changed the (quiz, story.. list) layout to masonry, so the images should look bigger and nicer
- you can change your username more than once, but there should be a 6 month period since your last username change
- on a quiz, story, question or poll if you scroll to the bottom of the page new similar items will be loaded automatically

Differences between the new layout ( "masonry" ) and the old one:

Before: vertical ordering, quizzes were displayed on a vertical See More list, top to bottom
Now: vertical + horizontal ordering, similar to reading/writing, meaning displaying the quizzes left to right, then continue on to the next line

For a better Qfeast (8) - Tips and Tricks, 2nd part

- There is a "Frequently Asked Questions" page (FAQ) that contains the answers to a lot of questions

- You can view only quizzes of certain categories? - on discover quizzes , click the "categories". Similar for stories, questions, polls and pages

- There are two types of personality quiz builders: "simple" and "expert". On expert you can assign different points to each personality, making the quiz as accurate as possible. See More You can switch between simple and expert modes on the "questions" step

- The perfect quiz has between 10 and 20 questions

- You can disable the comments on quiz, story or poll

- If you add a story to your favorites, you will receive updates on your news feed whenever a new chapter is added to the story

- You can change the background image of your profile. You can choose also from some predefined themes - [Settings] - > [Profile Design]

- There is a "block user" feature. You can block someone very easily if he/she is bothering you. The blocked user will not be able to comment any of your items, neither to message or follow you - [Settings] -> Blocked [Users] or click the "options" button on a post or comment, then "block"

- You can report almost any kind of item or content (comments, answers, quizzes, stories, users and so on). Each report will be checked by a Qfeast admin

- There is a "Page Talk" feature available for pages which allows the page members to chat

- You can delete all your notifications or news feed items in one shot? Just hit the "Delete all Notification/News Feed Items"

- You can choose who is allowed to post/comment on your profile. You can choose between "Everyone", "My Followers", "people I am Following", "My Followers and Following" and "only Me" [Settings] -> [Profile Posts]

For a better Qfeast (7) - Tips and Tricks, 1st part

- You can edit/delete your comments, posts or answers anytime? - click the "options" button (top-right of the comment) then edit/delete

- You can view the correct questions of a scored quiz? - select the "questions details" tab on the quiz result page

- You can retake a quiz? - select the "statistics" tab on the quiz result page then click "Do you want to take it again?"

- You can change your rating for a quiz or story anytime? See More (e.g. you rated a quiz 4 stars by mistake but you to give 5 stars)

- You can change your vote (agree, disagree) on comments and answers anytime

- You can edit, unpublish or delete your quizzes, stories, questions, polls and pages anytime

- You can use Qfeast on a lot of devices? There are two distinct versions, best for desktops and tablets and the other one for smartphones.

- You can publish a story as "not completed" so you can write new chapters any time

- On desktop/tablet version you can use the Qfeast instant messaging "chat"

- The "Chat" can be minimized - press the small horizontal arrow placed on the bottom right of the chat

- You can @mention (people tagging) someone comments. Just type the @ symbol and then continue typing the name of the person participating the conversation.
As you type, Qfeast will show a drop-down list of suggested users. The drop down is smart, it will update with increasingly accurate suggestions the further you type

- You can choose to be notified about all discussion where you participated, so you don't need every time to subscribe. [Settings] -> [Notifications] then switch on "When someone comments a thread that I participate on"

For a better Qfeast (6) - How to Get More Qfeast Followers — and Keep Them

1) Create an interesting bio. Don’t leave this blank, as it is one of the first things potential followers review. Explain who you are and what you do

2) Show your face. Make sure that you have uploaded a photo to your Qfeast profile. Why? Because the absence of a photo might tell other that you're either a spammer or a newbie

3) Publish valuable content: quizzes, stories, questions, polls and pages. See More If you want people to follow and share what you publish, you need to publish content worth sharing.

4) Compose interesting, funny or thought-provoking post on your profile
Most potential followers will glance at your most recent posts to see if you're worth following. Therefore, it stands to reason that the better your posts and comments, the more followers you'll gain.
- Add variety. Make sure you're posting on a variety of subjects and not just your personal thoughts or what you're doing at the moment
- Link to interesting sites

5) Commenting on relevant posts, trending topics, and various other happenings on Qfeast. Pick conversations that your followers – and your brand – would care about, and join in the discussion.

6) Reply to comments of your content (quizzes, stories, etc)

7) Avoid too much promotion. Yes, you can promote your quizzes, stories, etc. on Qfeast but be careful. There’s an invisible line you must not cross. If you do, you look like a spammer—or just clueless. Not only will you not get additional followers, you will wear out your existing followers and many of them will unfollow you

8) Use @mentions. Using @mentions is a great way to connect to people with similar interests and to increase the visibility of your comments.

9) Tell your friends about your quizzes, stories, questions, polls and pages. Share them on as many social networks, blogs or websites as you can. Doing so, your quizzes will have a lot more responses, stories will have more readers, etc and it will earn a higher rank in Qfeast tops

For a better Qfeast (5) - Choose the Correct Category

Why is the category important?

- It helps the users to browse the quizzes, stories, questions, poll or pages based on the categories selected
- It is used in suggesting similar items
Example: The "Similar Quizzes" section - on a quiz page, somebody might want to take other quizzes from same category.


Conclusion: the category is a crucial component in delivering the best targeted quizzes, stories, questions, poll or pages See More for other users (possible future followers)

For a better Qfeast (4) - Choose the correct visibility (Public | Profile | Hidden)

A crucial setting is the visibility level for your your quiz, story, poll, question, page. There are three possible visibility levels:

1) PUBLIC:
- The quiz, story, question, poll or page will be displayed on the main page of Qfeast (so will be searchable by others) and your profile pages (like your Wall, "Created Quizzes", "Asked Questions", and so on)
- Your followers will get notified when See More you publish something having "public" visibility
- Best for general audience

2) PROFILE:
- The quiz, story, question, poll or page will be displayed ONLY on your profile pages (like your Wall, "Created Quizzes", "Asked Questions", and so on)
- Your followers will get notified when you publish something having "profile" visibility
- Best choice if you intend to tell something very particular about your person, family, items.

3) HIDDEN:
- The quiz, story, question, poll or page will be visible ONLY TO YOU on some of your profile pages like "Created Quizzes", "Asked Questions" and so on. Other users will not be able too see them.
- Each item will have a random generated address. After you publish the quiz, story, question, poll or page you can take it from your - browser and communicate it to CERTAIN PERSONS
- Nobody will get notified when you publish the question
- Best choice if you want that only certain people to have access to the respective item (like your colleagues, family, close friends)

Examples:
- A quiz about your person ( "about me" ), items, family, pets -> always PROFILE
- Question about your person, items, family, pets? -> always PROFILE
- Writing your hidden diary (story) -> always PROFILE
- A poll about your person, items, family, pets -> always PROFILE
- A page for a very small group of persons (< 50 persons)? -> always PROFILE

Remember:
To prevent your quiz, story, poll, question, page from being flagged and possibly removed, pay maximum attention to the "visibility" level

For a better Qfeast (3) - Don't duplicate

Whenever you create a poll, ask a question or create a page pay attention to the small auto complete panel, under the text box, that shows you potential duplicates

To prevent your poll, question or page from being flagged and possibly removed, avoid adding items that are duplicates of another one (or very similar)

For a better Qfeast (2) - Read the Guidelines & Rules

All new published quizzes, stories, questions, polls and pages are subjected to a "minimum quality" filter that checks for some basic indicators of a good, not childish content.

To prevent your items from being flagged and possibly removed, check to make sure that you are always following the rules detailed in Guidelines & Rules sections.

For a better Qfeast (1) - Childish content is not allowed

The material suitable for <13 year old audience is not allowed on the public areas (e.g. having "public" visibility ).

It can still be create/keep it but ONLY if the owner will SET the "PROFILE" visibility to the item. The "profile" visibility means that the link to your quiz, story, question, poll or page will be visible only from your profile pages (e.g. "wall", "Created Quizzes", "Asked Questions" and so on).

Examples See More (not limited to) of material suitable for <13 year are bellow. The existing items (quizzes, stories, questions, polls & pages) will be reviewed also.

1) The "tag", "tagged by" like stories are not allowed on the public areas, as practically are not valid stories/ or some are low quality. These stories will most likely be deleted (or marked as profile)

2) The "role playing" or "rp" like pages are not allowed on the public areas, as are invalid / or some are low quality / or some are for <13 yrs (Qfeast is for 13+ ). These pages will most likely be deleted (or marked as profile)

What's New:

- You can upload photos directly from your wall or "page". No need to visit "Photos" link anymore for this
- The "opened for everyone" pages now allow uploading photos by non members also, so it will be easier to make the pages more attractive, to organize contests or share photos or drawings

We have increased the maximum number of chapters (per story) to ... few hundreds (from 50)

@mentions (people tagging) is up and running! Try it while writing a new post, comment or answer.
