For a better Qfeast (6) - How to Get More Qfeast Followers — and Keep Them
1) Create an interesting bio. Don’t leave this blank, as it is one of the first things potential followers review. Explain who you are and what you do
2) Show your face. Make sure that you have uploaded a photo to your Qfeast profile. Why? Because the absence of a photo might tell other that you're either a spammer or a newbie
3) Publish valuable content: quizzes, stories, questions, polls and pages. See More If you want people to follow and share what you publish, you need to publish content worth sharing.
4) Compose interesting, funny or thought-provoking post on your profile
Most potential followers will glance at your most recent posts to see if you're worth following. Therefore, it stands to reason that the better your posts and comments, the more followers you'll gain.
- Add variety. Make sure you're posting on a variety of subjects and not just your personal thoughts or what you're doing at the moment
- Link to interesting sites
5) Commenting on relevant posts, trending topics, and various other happenings on Qfeast. Pick conversations that your followers – and your brand – would care about, and join in the discussion.

A crucial setting is the visibility level for your your quiz, story, poll, question, page. There are three possible visibility levels:
1) PUBLIC:
- The quiz, story, question, poll or page will be displayed on the main page of Qfeast (so will be searchable by others) and your profile pages (like your Wall, "Created Quizzes", "Asked Questions", and so on)
- Your followers will get notified when See More you publish something having "public" visibility
- Best for general audience
2) PROFILE:
- The quiz, story, question, poll or page will be displayed ONLY on your profile pages (like your Wall, "Created Quizzes", "Asked Questions", and so on)
- Your followers will get notified when you publish something having "profile" visibility
- Best choice if you intend to tell something very particular about your person, family, items.
3) HIDDEN:

Whenever you create a poll, ask a question or create a page pay attention to the small auto complete panel, under the text box, that shows you potential duplicates

We just updated the comment and notifications. There are lots of improvements:
- you can now reply to other comments
- you can edit your own comments (click the small options arrow, top-right of the comment)
- the notification settings has been simplified (from 30 options to only 7) [Settings] -> [Notifications]
- deleting comments and posts will be faster as the confirmation popup has been removed (click the small options arrow, top-right of the comment)
- there See More you can find new options to configure when you want to be notified:
> when your comments are replied
> when someone comments a thread that you participate on (so you do not need to subscribe all the time, when you comment something)

We know that some of you might get confused at first sight by the new comment order, but don't shoot, we just standardize it across all pages. So, similar to the most popular discussions framework around, the latest comment/post will be placed at the top of the conversation by default

The big "profile" hovering menu has been replaced with just a simple link "me" which points to your profile (and we will stick to this, no more changes for a while).
Also, we added a new functionality:
Each quiz, story, question, poll or page will have 3 types of "visibility":
- PUBLIC (as before, the quiz, story, question, poll or page will be published on the main page, categories and wall) See More
- PROFILE (your quiz, story, question, poll or page will be published only on your wall). This is the best choice if you want to compose or ask something related to your person, friends, family and so on. Your followers will get notified in their news feed.
e.g.:
"How well do you know me" - quiz
"My online journal" - story
"What do you think of my prom dress?" - question
"Which hair color is best for me" (blonde, black...) - poll
"My Colleagues/ Friends" - page
- HIDDEN, this is the best choice if you want to hide your quiz, story, question, poll or page and send the link only to some persons. Works well also for private journals, dedicated polls, questions. The followers will not be notified about the hidden items.

- HIDDEN, this is the best choice if you want to hide your quiz, story, question, poll or page and send the link only to some persons. Works well also for private journals, dedicated polls, questions. The followers will not be notified about the hidden items.

New Features!
- Dynamic menu: You will be able to quickly access most of your profile (news feed, profile post, following) or browse stuff from anywhere, no need to leave the current page. You can even add a new post to your profile (like update your status) from the dynamic menu, in just one mouse click.
Don't shoot, some things might need to be tuned.
- New color scheme, less colorful, but a bit more professional
- Easier navigation between some important pages designed See More for browsing items
To be implemented:
- You will be able to mark your quiz, story, question, poll or page as private. So there will be two types: public (searchable, browsable from anywhere) or private (will be placed only on the wall).
This means that:
- You will be able to create personal items, which are not allowed now
- All existent "about me" like quizzes will be marked as private
e.g.:
How well do you know me? (Quiz)
What do you think about my ...? (Question)
My friends (Story)
Ask ... (Page)

The quizzes, stories, questions, polls about other Qfeast users are not allowed, according to the Qfeast Terms and Conditions.
Even if it at first sight this can look awesome to some users, such items:
- are a constant source of frustration for (many) other users, as not all of them have knowledge about the referenced usernames. Also, some users might feel bad because they weren't included or mentioned
- are a form of promotion, self promotion
Examples:
- Vote the Qfeaster See More of the week (poll)
- Guess the Qfeaster (quiz)
- Miss Qfeast (poll)
- Who is the most famous user? (question)

Soon, we will add a new type of quizzes and so on: like "public" (searchable) and private (available on wall only). "About me" quizzes will be marked as private.

I think that these two parts of it would be better to show to the newer users, like the ones that just signed up to Qfeast. Because I learned these on my own and I think many have to so they're-including myself-like "Well no duh.".
