do you think religion is necessary in our society?

I live in a Catholic family and I believe in God but..it's not worth worshipping and singing about someone who may not be real...I mean,don't get me wrong,I'm not a heathen or whatever,I just...think it isn't quite important to me,honestly it's my dad who really cares.?

Things in this world (religion included) have ups and downs, there is no complete bad nor complete good, all that matters is how you view it.

Religion causes a lot of arguments, why not use facts that can be proven instead?
