Beautiful. But all fruits are worth eating, even the deformed ones. The fruits to be looked out for are the ones rotten or with parasites on the inside. : )
Now don't forgot I was on the verge of throwing up, but seeing them wriggling about back to the body brought tears to my eyes. And yes, I did cry about maggots. It was wonderful though. I never seen so many pale-looking creatures rolling around. The next day, the body was gone and they had left. I was a bit disappointed.
What I wonder is who first thought of maggot treatment...
Considerate of you to the bird, but eew, maggots. Still, I'm glad that you found beauty in the shower of fly larvae. Most people I know and don't know alike would be intensely grossed out and disturbed, not even bothering to appreciate it.
That's smart...but it'd be gross to put a maggot inside of you. *shudders* Nature is cruel.
I nearly vomitted because in the 5th grade, there was a baby bird on the side of the road near our school who has died. I kicked it onto the grass so it could decompose properly (since it was on the concrete), and maggots flew everywhere. I didn't even kick it that hard. See More It was sickening but beautiful at the same time.
Maggots are also interesting in that they are used to clean out wounds sometimes. If a cut or gouge is infected, maggots may be put in the injured area to devour and rid of the bad flesh.
No, a pineapple. If they try to eat me, I can always post them and cut the insides of their mouths.

Partially depends if people want to have a positive or negative outlook.

Anyway, maggots...umm, will eat the rotten fruit slowly. Yeck.
