story time bish @Your.local.idiot!! it all started with a myth... UwU
Oedipus went on a journey. During his journey, he came across the town of Thebes. The great Sphinx sat in front of Thebes and asked a riddle to everyone who tried to enter Thebes. If you answered correctly, the Sphinx will let you into the city. But if you answered it incorrectly, the Sphinx See More ate you. Nobody knew the answer. The Sphinx's riddle was: what walks with 4 legs in the morning, 2 mid day, and 3 in the afternoon?
Fortunately, Oedipus answered the riddle correctly. The Sphinx was so shocked and upset that he (or she) fainted. Oedipus went on into the city. When he got there, the Thebans (the people of Thebes) was very sad because someone had killed their king (which was not the Sphinx), Laius. But once they heard that Oedipus figured out the Sphinx's first riddle, they were happy. Oedipus became the new king of Thebes.
*closes book* Okay story time is over go to bed. UwU
