Meadow in Development...(My Pregnancy Journey)
This is the page where I document my pregnancy. I found out last Monday, December 4, 2023 and this is where I will share what happens at my obgyn appointments as well as the future of my child.
🌼Meadow Lee 🌼
Meadow is 7lbs13oz and 21 inches long. 🩷
Our perfect little girl was born on July 25, 2024 at 8:12 p.m after an emergency induction at 37 weeks that led into a 47-hour labor with FOUR failed epidurals. It was the most excruciating pain in my entire life, but as soon as I laid eyes on her I was just absolutely amazed and in love. I am doing great and I’m already up walking around. The staff at the hospital is absolutely incredible and have been pampering us, See More even my husband because most hospitals wont feed the dad too. ♥️

“I’m going to try to get you to 38-weeks, but it’s not looking to be that way,” -my OBGYN.
FYI I am 36w4d. If I’m 37 weeks early next week, I could be having her next week. So just keep that in mind. Baby next week. Holy moly

They also think I will be able to have her naturally, and I’ve been shooting for a c-section this whole time because I assumed I’d make it to a full 40 week term. But now I’m having her two-three weeks early and the medicine from C-section could pose certain risks to me as well? So they are implying they are going to try me have as much as a natural birth as possible and I am absolutely terrified.
Which, the only reason I wanted a c-section was because of my family’s medical See More history (my mom had to be knocked out when she had me because she had an emergency c-section and couldn’t hold me for hours after she had me) AND I was scared of the risks posed with having a late term baby (meconium swallowing, cord wrapping, etc etc etc) so it’s really a blessing in disguise it’s just really scary to have to think about this stuff when I planned something else out for the past 9 months.

Been admitted to the hospital twice in the last week 🥲 first time was over my blood pressure being 159/125 and the second time was because Meadow failed her stress test (not by a lot but still failed) and we needed to make sure she wasn’t physically in distress *cri*
On top of stress tests, I now have to get ultrasounds twice a week too.
Meadow is okay but mama Sav, not as much. Very on edge. Very worried.

Welp. Who’s ready for a Qfeast baby in ≈2 weeks or less… 😬
I have developing preeclampsia so now I am on bed rest and being constantly monitored. I have to go to the hospital once a week for stress testing and the baby doctor twice a week for other testing (weight, blood pressure checks, etc). If anything changes with my health, I have to have her. I am extremely high risk. Meadow is FINE and HAPPY but her mama is borderline being tortured. Just pray for the next couple of weeks, See More we will have a baby very soon. She has also dropped and my false labor contractions are easily triggered.

I’m also starting to show signs of having labor soon. My braxton hicks (false labor contractions) have turned into uterine contractions, but they aren’t consistent enough to be active labor. My body is also showing other signs but they are tmi to share online. Just know, we will have a baby soon. ♥️

In two weeks from today, Meadow will be the earliest a full term baby can be. ♥️ I am 35 weeks.
Even though she’s already measuring that term because of how big she is, it’s only an approximate. But, she has free rein to come whenever she wants because she will be 97% ready either way. She just needs to get a little fatter, just a little bit. 97% survival rate at this gestational age. I’m so proud of her.

Last ultrasound is on Tuesday, exactly one month from induction date. Nate also got paternity leave approved so he’ll be able to spend six weeks off with Meadow. ♥️ my heart is so full.

I also met the doctor delivering the c-section, I was initially concerned because my friend wasn’t a fan of hers but she was actually really nice and cool. I like her a lot and I’m very comfortable with her doing my surgery. She also loves Meadow’s name and said she doesn’t say that often about baby names. 😂

Couple of updates…
-I do have gestational diabetes.
-Now I may have consistent hypertension, which can lead to preeclampsia which is potentially dangerous for me and the baby.
-I am only supposed to go to the doctor every two weeks, but now I go every couple of days to monitor my blood pressure.
-I could have her August 2nd, but if something with my diabetes or blood pressure causes her to come earlier then she may be earlier than that.
Just pray for us or keep us in See More your thoughts. My baby’s a happy girl and she’s getting bigger by the week. I feel her all over my belly, all the way up to my upper abdomen. ♥️
