So my friend was pouting about how she wanted a pet.
I told her to stay where she was. I left the room and came back with a potato behind my back.
I told her, "I got you a pet! It's special, so take extra good care of it." And then I plopped the potato in her hand.
She laughed really hard for a while, then asked, "How do I take care of a pet potato?"
I answered back, "DON'T STAB IT LIKE ZANE DID TO ANYA'S POTATO."
She laughed again, remembering the time Zane stabbed Anya's See More pet potato when we went over to Zane's house for her birthday. Yes, Anya brought in her pet potato. And yes, Zane stabbed it to death and nailed it into some wood.
She went home with that potato. She named it Jeffrey. Hopefully she hasn't stabbed it.

My mom usually says that she loves me and that she doesn't want anything to come between us, and I think that me being pan is keeping me farther away from her. And I mean, I have a Christian family, so that makes it harder for me to be who I am. But I'll try what you said. My mom supported me when I told her about my depression, See More but this is different.
Hopefully she'll let me be who I want to be.

It's gotten better, though. I say just get it over with so you don't cause too much stress on yourself. Since you're pan, and not many people know what that means, I would come out as bisexual if I were you. Say, "Mom, Dad, when I was little, you'd say you'd love me no matter who I was... I discovered I'm bisexual and I want you to know that." Try to See More ease into it rather than to suddenly come out to them. If they laugh or say, "No, you're not," then don't bring it up again, because that's a sign they will not be kind or accepting.
