with the osddid shit happening on here, osddid is a TRAUMA BASED dissociative disorder that stems from severe and/or repetitive childhood trauma before the ages of 8-9 that prevents a child's personalities from fully integrating. instead of that, the child dissociates heavily to cope with the shit they're going through, and the personalities split off into alternate states of consciousness, or 'alters.' it's NOT like roleplaying, when multiple alters are fronting at the same time, See More it's not something funny or enjoyable, it can be disorienting. switches happen with dissociation, alters are not based on different emotions. alters are formed to protect a child psychologically from unbearable trauma and to keep the person functioning.
you CANNOT get osddid after the ages of 8-9 because by then, your personalities have fully integrated. anyone who believes this to be false doesn't know what they're talking about. you NEED trauma to have osddid. you cannot get it from neuro-divergencies either.
TL;DR - osddid is the result of tragic, severe abuse and trauma to someone in their early childhood, and is the brain's way of coping with things it otherwise cannot survive with. stop faking a severe disorder.

my bpd causes me to both aggressively cling onto my boyfriend most of the time and shove dozens of people away. i've lost friends because my mood is nowhere near stable. i've been hospitalized because my old favorite person was someone i couldn't keep in my life, and i constantly returned to the abuse he subjected me to because of my obsessive attachment. i'm See More not trying to trauma dump, i'm trying to give you a goddamn wakeup call.
