I'm sick and tired of people saying that I act "too white". That shit pisses me the hell off. I'm sorry that I don't act like the stereotypical black person that listens to rap and is loud 24/7. I'm tired of trying to follow that standard and I catch myself doing it. I guess being black is a standard judged by my character and personality, not my heritage or skin color.
On Dr. Phil, there was this black girl who said she was white. My friends and I were watching the video in class See More and some girl told me that I reminded her of that girl. Not because I'm black, but because I press my hair and I don't have an ebonic accent like her. That made me pissed, but I had to play it off as a joke because I didn't want to be perceived as an uptight, sensitive asshole, like my parents would tell me that I could be sometimes.
So I took it. But that hurt. I'm passionate about my Nigerian background and culture, and I feel guilty when I find myself not paying attention to it in favor of stereotypical black one. (I'm proud of my African-American heritage, but I favor my Nigerian background more.)
I get to be the "coconut" because I like Nirvana, because I read and sound educated, because I have a weird ass sense of humor that doesn't even belong to black or white people. It belongs to me. Everything I own about myself belongs to ME. Not others twisted or misinformed perception about me because I'm a "white girl in a black girl's body". Nobody but me gets to call the shots when it comes to who /I/ am. I'm black, through and through, and I sure as hell know who I am.

and just UGH!!!! stupid bitch!!! that prick didn't even tell him abt Live Aid!!!! obviously, he went to Live Aid and KILLED IT, but not after he kicked Paul's sorry dick to the curb
it was so powerful and i nearly jumped outta my damn seat and screame d. bitch I. See More SCREAMED!!!!!! such a good movie!!!! and my friends told me i was being loud but jrrjhdksksjs kms it was so majestic, i swear. i HAVE to see that movie again. im gonna own it on DV fuckinn D because that movie is my favorite of all time now
