~RANT WARNING; OFFENSIVE CONTENT~
I am getting kind of sick of all of these "Christian" parents and people being so judgemental. They expect us to follow all kinds of rules when -- guess what! -- Jesus doesn't even necessarily want that. He doesn't want a bunch of mindless rule-followers. As a matter of fact, even in the Old Testament, he started telling people to just STOP sacrificing and following the Law, since they were no longer being sincere about it. God wants us to be See More good, yes, but he would rather have a sincere and close relationship with a drug addict that's in jail for murder than a fake, in-church-only relationship with one of the most "upstanding" Christians of today. He really wants us to just try to be good and do what be asks, not be perfect. Should we use our relationship with him and the fact that we're saved as an excuse to do whatever we want? No way. We should at least try to do what's right. But no one is perfect, and God understands that. He expects different things from different people. What a lot of people really don't get is that a Christian's orders should come from God, not from the parents or teachers or pastors or whatever.

@WhiteDiamond My grandparents are actually less strict about church, but my Granddad will adammantly say that I am not allowed to do yoga or listen to rock music since it's apparently Satanic.

It REALLY annoys me when people act like cursing is a terrible, evil, anti-Christian thing to do that will get you sent to hell. My parents act like this sometimes. .-.
Cursing is never even mentioned in the Bible. No one -- not even my Sunday school teacher, who has read the Bible all the way through multiple times -- has been able to refute this fact as of yet.
