But it actually really is fun to go to the mall in the middle of a school day and then everybody there is just like "what are you even doing here you should be at school" and you can just say "I don't go to school" and watch that look on their face
Except it's usually ruined two seconds later when your mom freaks out and says that you're actually homeschooled
And then on the way home you get this lecture about how you're going to end up getting mom in trouble with social services See More or something for saying that
But it's still totally worth it

I know. ;) I have a friend who's homeschooled and we were talking one day and I joked that everytime people say that we'll hold up a sign saying "homeschooled" so we don't have to keep saying it all the time.

Honestly though homeschoolers keep talking about how public schoolers make fun of us and think that we're unsocialized weirdos
But I'm pretty sure that we make more fun of public schoolers than they do of us
Like I think that public schoolers mostly just forget that we exist and don't talk about it
And homeschoolers are just like "guess what I'm smarter than you because I'm homeschooled and you're a dumb public schooler"

Me: Well I'm kind of mostly sorta in eighth grade...
Friend: *facepalm*
Person: *confused*
Me: I'm also a grade ahead in math and my end-of year science isn't really grade specific it's kind of just like baby chemistry so that I can start biology next year and I finished grammar for the year like a month ago so my dad is looking for a good month-long class to take so that I have something See More to do for that subject until the end of May and in history I'm just watching a TV series and writing a bunch of essays on the Civil War.
Friend: Show-off.

I love it! I personally would love to be homeschooled. It gives children the opportunity to learn their own way, at their own pace. However, the parents should be qualified to teach. (Not like a waitress and a biker, haha... "Right, now let's get on with this mathie-matics... a+3=5, what is a? I dunno, this crap too hard, let's move on to sci-fi." "Don't you See More mean science?" "Whatevs, man." )

@tylnapp Gotcha. Yeah, I think that homeschool would probably be really good for you. There are all kinds of options: abeka book, Khan academy, apologia... And a few others that I've forgotten. I can't pretend to know everything about homeschooling or how to teach, but I think it'd be a good idea.
