It’s been a while since I updated about my daughter! Thank you all for your congratulations. :D
She stayed in the hospital for two weeks. They realized it wasn’t endocarditis, and sent us home with follow ups to literally every single specialist in the hospital.
It’s been confirmed that the infection never went bloodstream. So now her heart is being monitored. They think it’s either how it’s shaped and will thin out with time, or it’s a genetic (treatable) heart disease. Which See More means if she has it, either my husband or I has it.
We will be traveling to Cincinnati to get tests done hopefully by early January. So keep my little family in mind!
She is now a happy three month old! She’ll be four months on the 25th. She coos, screams, giggles, she is just the cutest baby ever!

We are at Norton’s Children’s Hospital with Meadow… For most likely a month.
I haven’t updated in 5? 6? Days so here’s the update…💔
Meadow contracted MRSA from her doctor’s office. They think the infection site that was on her back showed up first.
Meadow had to have surgery on Sunday morning and it ended with a biopsy to test for C-word cells… 😞 But with it coming back positive for MRSA, I doubt it will show anything else.
They did ultrasounds and tests all over her See More body… And found something on her heart.
Because they can’t do open heart surgery on an infant if it isn’t an emergency, they can’t do a biopsy/tests to see if it is the infection. Sadly they have to treat it as an infection just to be safe…
She is getting a long-term IV installed this morning… that’ll stick in her artery and pump medicine directly to her heart… We may be here for a month. 😞
They have every single physician group on board… Infectious diseases, oncology (blood doctors), pathology, surgery team, pediatrics, radiology, and cardiology. Meadow is the talk of the hospital.
NONE of her tests have come back with the infection… NONE OF THEM. But because they found this on her heart they have to be safe than sorry. Which I agree… Just at what cost? Now I have to spend Meadow’s first month of life two hours from home in the top rated Children’s hospital in Kentucky. Which is a blessing, because it might’ve been too late if I didn’t get her up here, but I am sick at how quickly this turned.
