But then I woke up..

I had a dream I was swimming in the lake when a beautiful snake came up and bit my neck. I swam out of the waters as quickly as I could frantically looking for help but no one believed me, I laid down until my body turned cold and I died, but the next morning I woke up.
My subconscious is a lazy poet..
That summer when when you kissed my neck I couldn’t swim away, you pressed your body against mine and I was shaking. That night it stormed hard and I envied how beautifully the sky fell apart, how she turned her sadness into power and destructed whatever the f*ck she wanted to. By the time I woke up the weather was nice but the storm moved inside me. I laid in bed feeling the thunder pounding in my chest, the rain pouring from my eyes, I could feel the rhythm of lighting striking my body as I continued to shake wishing it could be a dream so I could die, but the next morning I woke up..


Below is the poem that gave me inspiration for this one, I fugured I would add it on just for a littl fun because why not. Plus I thought I should give it some credit.

I have had horrible nightmares ever since.. Last night I dreamed I was shot but there were no wounds. I had to keep convincing people there bullets breaking up my back bone.
I have no right to be this tragic, to have a brain like a broke record. It is unfair to those who have reason to suffer. The worst has already happened to me and I’ve tried so hard to be whole again. To wake up every morning. To buy groceries. To look at strange men’s strong men’s hands without half wishing them dead.
I’m terrified by what’s inside me. My organs are such ugly things. They twist the rapture and fail. The good news is we’re all like this although I don’t know if that’s good news.
