Home is far, but not too far

As the next day went on, Brooke kept thinking about the sound and touch of the violin. About how she played it as a child ,but that was before she discover Attack on titan. It widened her knowledge of the world she lived in. Suddenly she heard from behind her," Hey,Brooke, you ok" it was Markus.
"Yeah just thinking," she replied.
"Like what"
"Nothing you would like"
"Oh, I see"
Brooke still couldn't believe that Markus and Levi were bothers. Markus was so wide eyed and happy but Levi was so serious, and showed no emotion. "Hey Markus, do you think there is something outside of these walls," she asked
"Maybe, all i knew is titans and fighting," he replied. She thought it about it over and over thinking. About how to get home and if she could take Markus with her. She then heard," Hey Brooke did you hear, they found Lauren"
"What," she replied.
"ya, and they're saying she will be killed cause she is a threat."
"What," Brooke stormed off to find were Lauren was so she could see if what she was told was true. Brooke was finally allowed to walk with Lauren around the wall, as long as Lauren wore handcuffs. As they were walking, Lauren said nothing to Brooke but Brooke could tell something was going on. Lauren then walked to the edge of the wall. She then faced her back to the city and fell. Brooke jumped after her, grabbing her hand and sticking her sword in the wall. "What were you thinking Lauren," Brooke asked. "you know that they are going to kill me so I thought I may as well go."
"No Lauren,I can't let another friend of mine die in front of me"
Then one day after all this was over, they asked Brooke to walk with Lauren to the court house though the woods, with Gabby ,Markus, and Slycat, and Brooke agreed. As they were walking, Brooke suddenly saw something, it was a portal. But it couldn't be, they were gone, or she thought so. She walk to it and the rest followed her. " What is that" Markus asked.
"A portal," Brooke replied," to the outside world"
"cool lets go" shout Slycat.
"No, it maybe dangerous," said Gabby
"What do you think," Brooke asked Markus
Markus then extend his arm to her," Why not, what do we have to lose".
