Disney, a royal pain

You know how in most disney princess movies the parents like always die? I mean Disney, these are children's movies, don't go killing everyone in sight. This doesn't include brave or sleeping beauty which is why i said most.

Isn't it kinda(A LOT) brutal when they showed her mother die in ariel's beginning? I mean they could've flashed throught the part or something, but nooooo they must show someone die in front of a bunch of like 5-year old little mermaids and ALL the merpeople, AND FREAKIN' LITTLE KIDS WHO WATCHED THE MOVIE! and my friends call me violent.
