A simple medical kit needs bandages, tape and betadine. You don’t want a simple medical kit.
For bleeding and closing wounds:
Butterfly sutures are ideal for closing small wounds but for the bigger ones duct tape is a charm until you can get access to your kit. Sterilise the wound and remove debris
Infection:
Keeping wounds clean in a zombie apocalypse can be a pain, head up to your G.P room and clean up the wound, you’re going to need the following:
ゝ        Gauze
ゝ        Adhesive wound dressings
ゝ        Antibiotic ointments and creams
ゝ        Broad spectrum oral Antibiotics – This hard to get because you need a prescription but you can just steal it, extendeythromycin, Ciprofloxacin and Amoxicillin are all broad spectrum antibiotics.
ゝ        Antiseptics and Disinfectants – Peroxide, Isopropyl Alcohol, PVP Iodine Ampules and Antiseptic wipes need to be I your kits
To stop pain:
ゝ        Aspirin, Tylenol or Ibuprofen
ゝ        Codeine or some type of pain killer
ゝ        Chemical Ice Bags
ゝ        Lidocaine
Also make sure you have any of the things that YOU personally need and some more bare essentials:
ゝ        Emergency dental kit
ゝ        Sterile needles and surgical blades.
ゝ        Splints – SAM and air splints
ゝ        Quick Clot Gauze
ゝ        Grooming and cleaning tools – Finger nail clippers, soap, Antiseptic wipes.
ゝ        Tweezers
ゝ        Scissors
ゝ        Disposable thermometers
ゝ        Disposable gloves
ゝ        Sterile eyewash & eye dressings
ゝ        Sunblock
ゝ        Vaseline
ゝ        Burn creams and dressings
