The moon

Lunar Aisha sat on her roof, staring up at the moon. The black dress she was wearing camouflaged her from the rest of the city. Her dark hair blew in the wind. "Hey lunar!" Shouted lunar's best friend, Asteri. "Come down from there! It's almost midnight!" Lunar sighed. Asteri was always trying to get her to be active, instead of just staring at the moon. "Asteri, why don't you just go to bed?" Asked lunar. "I can't! I'm too hyper!" Said Asteri. Lunar said nothing. Asteri sighed and went back into the house. Lunar looked at the moon. It was her only friend other than Asteri. She suddenly saw a black figure move across the moon. She gasped. What was that? Maybe an airplane? No. Airplanes don't move that fast. Helicopter? No, too big. So what was that thing? Lunar suddenly had a flash of memory. A memory of a beautiful kingdom. A palace made of white marble. Lunar flashed back to reality. She hopped off of the roof and grabbed her black cloak from the bucket in front of the door. She pulled it on and ran into the night. Up a hill, and to the place where the moon was the closest.

Lunar kept running. It became darker and darker as she ran. She ran. Up a path into the mountains and it curved up. Lunar reached the top of the mountain and looked at the moon. It was much bigger here. She looked down on the city. She saw a black figure on the ground just below the mountain. The same figure that moved across the moon. Lunar looked at it. It looked somewhat familiar. She ran back down the mountain towards it. It looked like a black diamond. Lunar looked at it. It suddenly started flashing and it disappeared! Lunar ran back to her house to tell Asteri.
