Skye
My cat's meow woke me up. The storm was bothering him. I tried to comfort him by petting him and cuddling him but he seemed really upset. I saw a flash of lightning before a man appeared in my room. I hid under the covers. Fear rushed through me as I tried to keep my breathing steady.---
The lights turned on and somehow my blanket was magically lifted from my body. I turned to see a man with purple skin. He was holding a staff thingy in my direction. My cat ran down the hall, afraid. I remember screaming Mittens, his name, just before the man raised me with his staff. With his free hand, the man held some blue dust. As he was sprinkling it on me I looked at the moon.
---
It was a full moon. I had never realized how beautiful the moon was before. The moonlight brightened up my room and the rain pattered on the roof. I love that sound. The pitter patter of raindrops. That was what I thought right before I fell unconscious.
