When Time Stops

The Night Before

A/N: Hey everyone! This is just going to be a filler chapter that tells you why some people do and know some stuff.....So now on to the chapter!!


(Third person P.O.V)


Maya was sitting in her room reading a book when someone knocked on her bedroom window. She says "come in!” The window opens and Mika, Maya's best friend since she was 4, climbs in. "Hey, Maya!" He says. "Hi" she says. "What’ch doing?" He asks. "Reading" "About what?" "Greek Mythology" "Oh, cool…….I guess……" Maya puts down her book and crosses her arms with a 'really...' look on her face. "What?" Mika asks "What did I do?" “Nothing…” “Then why are you giving me that look?” “No reason” Mika sighs and says “please tell me what I did” “nothing” “Fine….I will stop asking you about it if you stop looking at me like that” “Fine” Maya picks her book up and goes back to reading “why do you read that stuff anyway?” “To learn more about stuff” “and why would you want to do that?” “I donno…..someday I may need to know this stuff” “ok, then. Miss Cryptic” “I was not being cryptic!” “If you say so….” Maya looks outside and sees the sun setting. She puts her book down and says “Welp, it’s getting late we should go to sleep” “ok, Bye Maya! See you tomorrow!” “Bye Mika!” Mika waves goodbye to Maya and her waves back. Then Mika climbs out of her window and closes it. Maya gets up, puts her book on the table, and gets changed into PJ’s. The she climbs into bed, falls asleep, and has a very weird dream.


<The Dream>


Maya was sitting at a fireplace but not just any fireplace a Hearth. She was tending to the flames while wearing a white Greek chiton and a brown shawl. Then Mika walks in wearing a white toga with sandals that had little wings on both sides of them. He sits down next to Maya and says “this feels so weird…” “Yea it does” says Maya. “But the cool thing about it is that I can fly!” Mika says. “Oh really?” “Yea!” “Show me” “OK!” then Mika gets up and the little wings on the sides his sandals start to flap making him hover a few inches in the air. “Cool, right?” he asks. “Yea” Maya says “but not as cool as this!” Then she makes a fireball appear in her hand. Mika looks at the fireball and says “Awesome…”


<End of the Dream>


Maya wakes up and says “That was a weird dream….” Then her phone vibrates meaning she had a text. She picks up the phone and checks her texts. There was a group text from Tails to her and a couple of her other friends that said: Guys! Come over to the lab ASAP! I made something that you really have to see! “Ok, then Tails” Maya says then texts back to Tails: I’m coming! Then she gets out of bed, gets dressed, brushes her hair and teeth, eats breakfast, grabs purse, locks the house, stands in the garage feeling like she forgot something, remembers what she forgot, unlocks one of the doors into the house, goes back into the house, grabs the key to her motorcycle and the Greek mythology book she was reading last night, goes back into the garage, locks the door she unlocked, puts her motorcycles helmet on, opens garage door, gets on motorcycle, turns on motorcycle, and drives to Tails lab wondering what he made this time……..
