I promise [Cana's Tale]

Ok, here it is! I decided to write a story about Sonata and Cana. I really wanted to do a different ending for the story, but I loved the old one...so...Yep...

The Final Battle

Cana left the scene of the monster's defeat, and walked into another room. This room was eerie and dark, and the smell of rat feces and dead plants hung heavy in the cold, dry air. Cana shivered and looked around. Nothing. She felt that something could come in the room at any given moment.

Sonata's eyes cracked open. Even the brief moment of sleep that he'd gotten had given him at least some energy. He stood up and began running through the woods until he came upon an old, stone building. He walked through the splintering wooden doors and took  a deep inhale. Somewhat of a musty smell that made Sonata's eyes water and his stomach churn. He continued walking for what seemed like many hours before coming upon a small room.

Cana suddenly heard footsteps. She quickly turned around and gasped in awe. Right there, in the doorway was him.
Sonata. The blonde ran towards her,  arms outstretched. Yet before they got a chance to touch each other for  a second, a set of eyes faded into the darkness. Sonata of the Shadows...
Sonata lunged forth, sword gripped tightly in his shaky hands. The clash of metal echoed through the room as their blades clashed. The knight and the shadow fought for  quite a while, as Cana watched in horror. "Please, no..." Sonata was flung about 6 feet before crashing into the stone wall. Cana screeched loudly. Dazed, Sonata stood up. "Wait for me, Cana..." He whispered.  And charged straight at the shadowy figure. His blade struck its neck hard, and Shadow Sonata fell to the ground, screaming in pain.

The boy rubbed the back of his head and breathed a much needed sigh of relief. He had finally done it. Sonata walked over to Cana and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Cana...It's over..." He said softly, tears filling his eyes. Cana pulled the weary soldier into her arms and held him close. "Sonata...You did it!" She said happily. It was true. He had...
