I promise [Cana's Tale]

Ok, here it is! I decided to write a story about Sonata and Cana. I really wanted to do a different ending for the story, but I loved the old one...so...Yep...

His Burden

Glori the Second... The second queen...He stopped.
Stared.
Shivered.
And remembered...
~..~
"Her screams echoed through the inky night, filled with fear, sadness, and agony. She was wearing the same dress that she'd worn on that day...the one draped in white shimmering gown. Though when she first worn it, it had been white. The smell of blood lingered in the sky, thick and heavy. But not just any blood. Blood that had coursed through his veins...
The blood of a hero.
Sonata Stamenovic I. The fallen knight lay motionless in Cana's arms. He looked up at her with those deep, crystalline, sapphire blue orbs. "Cana....Can you sing a song for me? I...I'd always liked it when you sing..."
Cana parted her lips and sang.
"Oh youth... Innocent and free. Without the troubles we now can see"
"Left in the past...The good days are. I can't believe"
"We've come this far."
"Oh, youth...Why'd it end so soon..."
And with that, his eyes drifted shut, and his breathing slowed. "No...Sonata...Please don't go..."
His eyes opened once more. "I've lived,, I've loved, I've lost, but I've also learned. So have you. But you must learn that every legend has an end." His eyelids closed and he took a final exhale.
A tear rolled down Cana's cheek. Although he spoke no more, Sonata's voice echoed in her mind.
"Cana, please don't cry for me. Something tells me that we'll see each other again...."
"Someday..."
