Tormented Life

First Date

I look at the clock. 6:49pm. I pull on my long sleeved green shirt and dark pink poncho.

6:50

I snatch my brush away from my desk and frantically brush my long blond hair. I look around for a hair lackey and tie my hair up in a French braid.

6:51

I run around my room searching for my black boots.
"Bingo!" I grab them and slide them on.

6:55

I'm bursting with excitement, my FIRST date! I pick up my bag and stuff my phone, some lipgloss, a pack of tissues and my purse into it.

6:58

The minutes feel like hours. I check my hair once more and brush the dust of my clothes.

6:59

He'll be here any minute now.

DING DONG!!

I take a deep breath in and walk up to the door. Luckily it's unlocked. I open it.
"Fay,"
"Dan," we both just stare into each other's eyes.
Suddenly I hear mum from inside the house.
"FAY! Do not leave this house! You hear me!"
"Run," I order. We both sprint down the steps of my front porch and onto the street. Dan is far more faster than I am. He snatches my hand and pulls me along with him. We reach the corner.
"I..think....we..lost her," I say almost out of breath. He nods.
"C'mon, I know this really good pizza place down the road,"
"I could kill for a pizza," suddenly I feel snow fall on my head. I shiver. Dan locks his arms around me sensing my coldness. "Thank you,"
