"Pick me up, please!" He asked happily, a smile plastered onto his pale face. You sighed softly, and reached down to pick him up. Sebastian giggled. "Yay, up!" He said as he climbed into your arms. You couldn't help but smile at the demon boy. He was just so...cute. Sebastian looked up at you with wide, red, curious eyes. He suddenly let out a loud yawn. You chuckled at this feat. "Somebody's tired." You teased, tousling his raven-colored hair."I-I'm not sleepy!" He complained, before yawning again. "I'm perfectly fine!" Sebastian said with a scowl.
"Well, maybe just a little."
You gave a slight smile and carried him to his bedroom. You helped your little demon remove his trousers and shirt, and replaced them with a light, airy, comfortable nightgown. Sebastian glanced down at this new garment. He'd never worn a nightgown before. "What is this?" He inquired. "It's very comfortable".
You chuckled quietly. "It's a nightgown, Sebastian. Do you like it?" He nodded excitedly. The black haired male (With some help from his mother/father-figure) climbed into his small, but quite soft bed. He hugged his favorite stuffed animal, which was a black plush cat, tightly. "Can you read to me? Pleaaaaase?"
You smiled. "Okay.", you replied, pulling a storybook from a nearby bookshelf. You blew some dust from the cover. You opened the book and began reading aloud.
"Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Rose. Rose lived in a small cottage, with her parents, a younger sister, and two cats."
Sebastian smiled. "I love cats!"
You nodded and continued reading.
"One day Rose was picking flowers in her back yard. Her heart skipped a beat when she suddenly realized that her grey cat, Lucy, had disappeared."
Sebastian's eyes grew as wide as saucers.
"Rose looked everywhere for Lucy. Yet she still couldn't find her. When Rose was about to give up looking, she spotted Lucy chasing a butterfly around the yard. She ran over quickly, and picked Lucy up. "Lucy!" She said. "Don't ever do this again!" Lucy's ears went flat. "It's okay. I forgive you." Rose said, scratching Lucy behind the ears. And the girl and her two cats lived happily ever after."
Sebastian smiled. "That was a good story." He said, his voice slurring with sleepiness.
You smiled gently.
"(Y/N?)" He spoke.
"Can I wear this nightgown every day?"
"We'll see. Sweet dreams, Sebastian."
And with that, the demon boy's eyes drifted shut.
