Chapter 6- Getting Better

It had been weeks since they met on the roof. The demons had all hated the angels since the little fight in the hallway, and were pretty much exiled if they were seen talking to the angels. Kila didn't like to admit it, but her favorite part of the day was during break when she'd sneak to the roof to see Haru. Haru hated that she wouldn't be seen with him anywhere else, but he understood. He had been giving Kila tips on how to get better about being a player, once she realized just how much she hurt people. Now it was a Friday, Kila's favorite day, and break was just about over. She stood up and Haru did the same. "Kila.. how long will we hide our friendship? I feel like I'm doing something wrong when I have to sneak away to see you-.." Haru mumbled, looking a bit down. Kila did feel bad about that. "Haru.. You see- There's two sides of me. The side others see is just the popular play girl, but with you, I feel like I can be myself, without worrying about my reputation." Kila explained with a sad smile. "I wish others would see this part of you.. show them, Kila. Being kind will get you more friends than continuing to play people." Kila listened to his words thoughtfully. She was about to comment 'How would you know?' But then realized his point, and he would, in fact, know. The first couple times they had met, Kila had tried to play him. But Haru was different.. he was strong against her flirts, never even paying them any thought, when others would've been head over heels by now. "Okay.." Kila nodded. "Come." She began dragging him down the stairs. "O-Oh! W-Well I didn't know we were doing this now?"
