A Conversation
She fell asleep with my arm still around her, still sobbing and tears running down her face. I didn't know what had happened but I ran in after Niall and found him frozen. He was muttering something incoherent. His eyes got huge when he saw me. "Find her! What have I done! Fix this!" Niall said. I ran up the stairs and opened every door until I found her. She was sobbing in a corner and now here I am. With a girl I don't know now sleeping in my arms who agreed to come stay the night at my house tonight.
I picked her up in my arms and carried her down the stairs. She was very light and kept sleeping. I managed to get her into the limo without setting her down. I set her down onto one of the rows of seats and sat down next to her. Niall, Harry, Louis, and Zayn all came in next and I could see a huge smile spread across Niall's face as we drove home. No one talked all the way home.
I carried the girl in and set her down on the couch. She curled into a small ball as she slept. She looked small and fragile. Harry went up to bed and Louis followed. Zayn stayed by Niall's side and we all took a seat around each other. "What's the deal?" Zayn asked. Niall looked at both of us and then back at the girl. "Toni and I were sweethearts in 7th and 8th grade. Her family wasn't good. Her dad beat her and her mom a banded her around the time we started going out." He was still starring at her. "After 8th grade she was put in the foster care system so I didn't see her much any more." I never stopped thinking about her though. Even though it was only 8th grade I could tell by the way she stuck in my head that I wanted to be with her longer." Zayn patted Niall on the back and left. He looked very sleepy so I couldn't blame him.
Niall wouldn't stop looking at her. He told me everything about her. Her favorite color, food, movie, book, past time, and anything else he could think of. I could tell he meant it when he said that she was stuck in his head. He hadn't forgotten a single thing about her.
