Part 12
About an hour past and I finally decided to look out the window to see all the dead people. I wondered if we had lost the war and would all be dead by the morning.“Oh my god”, I said.
“Is it bad”, Abby asked “I don’t dare look”.
I signaled for Abby to come over she needed to see this. She put on a brave face and looked out the window. Outside everything was burnt out and their were skeletons everywhere. With our saying a word Abby and I opened up the trap door and scrambled down the ladder. Inside the drop ship were a little more than half of the 100 looking terrified at what they’d just done. I searched the crowd for Monty or jasper. I found jasper sitting in a corner next to Harper. I didn’t even have time to be jealous.
“Did you find Monty”, I exclaimed.
“No”, jasper didn’t dare look me in the eye.
I was in to much shock to cry. He was dead, my amazing brother was dead! One by one we all timidly stepped out of the dropship. A red chemical was everyone and I fell to the ground.
