Just Like Them!
He asks “is that all of them?” I nod and he says “are you sure?” I nod again and he reaches behind me pulling out another screw! He then grabs me by the chin and yells “DON’T LIE TO ME” I yelled back “YOU’RE JUST LIKE THEM!” he lets me go and I run to the door but he stops me from leaving, he says in an angry voice “what do you mean by THEM!?!” I look away and say behind tears “no one!. . .I just lashed out. . .sorry!”I feel a tear roll down my face! he walks over to me knife in his hand and says “what did I tell you about lying to me?” I start to cry and he hugs me he says “it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it!” my eyes fill with tears as I say “thank you! For everything!” he says “it’s okay calm down. . .everything is okay!”
f/n rushes into the room to see us hugging and me crying they yell “WHAT HAPPENED?” Jeff shoots them a death stare and whispers something I can’t quite hear what it is! but whatever it is it gets f/n to leave! Jeff says “get some rest you’re gonna need it after that mess!” I say in a nerves voice “wait!”
as he’s about to leave he turns his head and says “hmm?” “can you stay with me until I fall asleep?” I say without thinking he lets out a chuckle and says “dang kid just a few minutes ago we were fighting and now you don’t want me to leave! Now I see what my mom meant when she said that girls were difficult!” I give him an unamused look and he says “someones cranky!” I give him the puppy dog eyes and he sighs then walks over to me! He says “alright you win! For now!” I smile...end of chapter eighteen
