She could not belive what she was seeing. Roger was unlike anything Alex thought he would be. Without the support of his hat, the man's hair fell almost to his mid back. It was a golden blonde in color, and his skin was pale and smooth. Roger's eyes were a bright shade of sapphire blue, unlike the forest green or coffee colored eyes she'd assumed.
But what surprised Alex the most was not the man's gourgeous eyes or surprisingly long hair, nor his smooth and flawless skin.
It was the fact that Roger was not a man at all.
He was a girl.
Alex was in pure shock as she gazed upon "Roger".
She stared up in shock that Alex had figured out the nearly flawless disguise.
Saying nothing, Roger sat up straight and tucked a lock of rain-soaked, golden hair behind her ear.
Alex helped the woman to her feet. The blonde stumbled, but caught herself just before she hit the ground.
Alex couldn't believe how awful this woman looked. She was soaked, shivering, and pale as a ghost. Her hair was drenched with water and her face smeared with blood and dirt. Deep circles surrounded her weary , fear filled eyes. A warm bath would do wonders for her health.
"Come on, Roger.", Alex spoke to the strange blonde.
"I'm so sorry, Alex.", the woman suddenly spoke. Her voice was hoarse and dry from disuse.
"I never came back for you."
Through layers of salty sweat and grime, Alex could just barely see who "Roger" was. It was all too familiar. The hair, the eyes, the skin.
She couldn't belive it.
All this time, Roger was a woman.
And not just any woman.
Roger was Skye.
