Lamias, Guns and Out on the Town
Part 1Lamia
In a room similar to the room Cinaed and the devil dragon meet, Dike opens her eyes and looks around in shock. Then a voice from behind her whispers something. She turns in fright and looks at the darkness just beyond the bars. The voice speaks again but louder.
“You better bring him to the master before he sends someone else.” The voice said. Dike looked in confusion.
“What?” she said.
“Oh right you lost your memory.” The voice said louder.
“What master?” Dike asked.
“Doesn’t matter you’ll find out either way.” The voice said.
“Wait.” Dike said opening the door and running in there closing it behind her. The voice chuckled. That’s when Dike bumped into something. She felt it, it was curvy and soft. She began to feel lower and that’s when her eyes began to widen when she felt it began to get scale and hard. That’s when she looked and she couldn’t see that far but the parts that she could see were the upper half of a beautiful woman with white hair and the lower half of some kind of a reptile. The creature grinned and then her eyes turn into those of a snake’s. The creature then went straight for Dike opening her mouth to reveal fangs.
Dike woke up screaming and then looked around she was in her bed at the company hall. She was covered in sweat. She looked down at her hands.
“Who the hell am I and who’s this ‘Master’?” She thought. She then looked a picture of her and Cinaed at the hospital when they were at FFM.
“He lost his shoulder for me.” Dike said and that’s when it hit her. “Was that woman sent by the same guy who sent me? Yes that woman was very persistent with Cinaed about coming with her and she was more focused on me then the others so that must mean she was trying to figure out who I was and whether I was who she thought I was.” Dike tried then started to figure out each player in this game that she was a part of.
“Then we have that military guy. What was that guy’s name gain? Mustered, Mortar, Mustache? Oh yeah Mustang! What was he all about and why would he give Cinaed that weird metal?” Dike thought for hours even when Luke was teacher her, she thought about everything on that day. That is until Luke noticed her not focused on his crash course on Government-Company connection.
“Dike are you paying attention?” Luke said.
“Hmm. Oh yeah.” Dike said.
“Alright then what are the 3 basic blood card laws for blood card users in companies?” Luke said.
“Alright they’re ummm….” Dike said thinking.
“There is no such thing as the 3 basic blood card laws for blood card user in companies.” Luke said. Dike started to turn red with the fact that she had been fooled. “Alright you mind telling me what’s bugging you.”
“Nothing.” She said turned her head. Luke walked to her table and sat.
“Your hair started to turn gray when you lie.” Luke said. Dike turned toward him.
“What?!” Dike said.
“Its fine Cinaed’s eyes turn yellow when he’s mad.” Luke said. “It’s a blood card thing.”
“Fine, I was thinking about what….. Something said to me.” Dike said looking down at the table.
“Something? Could you describe it?” Luke asked.
“It had a upper half a woman and the lower half of some kind of a lizard.” Dike said.
“A lizard?” Luke said. He then lifted his hand and started to write in the air. A black line fallowed his hand. Each time he finished a word it would pop and have colors and textures. When he had finished he had written 4 words and those 4 words were ‘Snake’, ‘Alligator’, ‘turtle’, and ‘Shelgon’ (Shelgon: A large domesticated reptile that is used for agricultural purposes most have feathers and are mistaken for a giant sloth). Each had some sort of scale texture. “Alright I want you to touch each of these and tell me which is the most like what you touched. Okay?” Luke said. She nodded and felt the Shelgon and Alligator first it felt and it didn’t set anything off but when she got to the Snake it was like all the bells in town went off.
“That’s it!” Dike said. Luke looked at her. “This is what I felt!” She said.
“Alright let’s go to the library.” Luke said picking up his books and walking toward the door. Dike followed.
“Why the library?” Dike said. “Can’t you just look it up on you vain line?”
“I can but literature can’t be found in an easy place besides that’s how Cinaed found out what the devil dragon was. Well at least as close as we could get to it.” Luke said opening the door and leaving
“As close?” Dike said questionably still close in tow.
“Yeah since the bible doesn’t say any like this but the devil so we assumed it was dragon from hell.” Luke said walking down the road. They talked some more and then they made it to a small building with a large expansion on the back that was about 6 times as big as the original building was. The smell of iron and ink surrounded the building. Right next to the door had a flag and on that flag was the company’s mark.
Luke opened the door. Inside was a small room just about as small as the original. The room had tons of printing machines and right near the door was newspapers for Cinaed’s school.
“Ahh… Luke. How are you? Bet you came for Helena’s book for her collection.” A fat man said covered in ink and wearing goggles.
“Not today Gordon.” Luke said. “ Came here on new blood card expedition.”
“Oh and this girl is the new one. I thought those bastards in Center Fold figured out every one.” James said.
“Oddly enough not.” Luke said. James looked at her.
“Yeah…. I guess so.” James said skeptical. They then walked through a door across from them. The room was large books were everywhere and the floors were a fading shade of red. The room was dim but had books that glowed to light it up just enough for people to read the title and other of the side of the books.
“He’s pretty odd.” Dike said just after she closed the door.
“Yeah but he does make some real good news print.” Luke said leading Dike to tables with unlit candles on them darkened by the little like they had. Luke wrote ‘Flame’ in the air and lit up into flames. Luke pushed it and lit the candles. Luke sat down on one of the seats. Dike sat as well and stared at him. He then wrote in the air ‘Monster’, ‘Snake’, and ‘Woman’ They popped into hairy letters, scaly letter, and pink letters and then used both hands to clap them together. When he opened them 2 glowing, transparent, blue cat jumped out of his hands. Dike smiled and was amazed but them. Luke pointed out toward the vast ocean of books and then they went out. Dike got up and fallowed one of them. He then walked not too far way and stopped and looked up. Dike stopped and started to look at where the cat was looking. Before Dike could even figure out what he was looking at. He jumped and pulled down 4 books. Dike was surprised and picked up one of the books to find it labeled ‘Lamia: History of a Rattling Beauty’. He then pulled one more down and jumped down. He then processed to lift them with his two front paws and walk on his back paws back. Dike followed with her book in hand. The cat then climbed up and left the books on the table and left them in front of Luke and jumped off to grab some more.
“There beautiful.” Dike said. Luke picked up a book and started to read it.
“Thanks.” He said.
“So what is this place?” Dike said looking around.
“Yeah before the company was mostly magic based it got most of its funds from printing things.” Luke said almost not caring about her. Dike sensed it decided to stop talking and start reading. Hours went by without anything until Luke saw something odd. “Dike come over here.” Luke said. Dike looked over and got up and looked over. “It says here that some Lamia’s had their own religion called Atheana drillioe.”
“So wait why didn’t all Lamia have this religion?” Dike asked.
“Because of many reasons mostly what they thought was right.” Luke said.
“So what was it about?” Dike asked.
“Mostly death, Judgement, and all that South Misdreavus stuff but listen to this they had a god called Aglaia. She was one of 3 sister gods but she was the dominate god of the 3. She had poison that could destroy anything but metals and earth.” Luke said. “She could also make things out her poison like swords, spears, and even something that could only be described a poisonous solid flame.” Luke said. Dike’s eyes widen remembering what Cinaed said about when they first met that she had a flame that didn’t generate heat. “She could also create disease such as ebola and swine flu.” Luke concluded.
“So what does that mean?” Dike asked. “Am I going to have the ability to infect people with disease?”
“Probably…. yeah.” Luke said then it hit Luke why Ren was so scared after Dike’s job. She could have cut him and disease ability on then through the cut could have caused some kind of reaction to cause the blood splatter but there’s one problem with this theory. Dike can’t unlock that power yet it’s too early. Then again there has never been a case of a blood card getting amnesia so all bets are off.
Chapter 7
Part 2
Gun Shopping
At Helena and Drake’s farm Cinaed was working. Harvesting an area behind the farm with Freddy acting as the horse to pulling a harvesting machine. Freddy was connected to it with some kind of turn shaft powering the machine. Blair was also working moving the crop with his gravity gun. The crop was blue and cylinder shape it was called Famer. It was about midday and even though the weather was getting colder they were still sweating like crazy. Drake came out over to Cinaed.
“Cinaed, you are aware I can push the harvester? You don’t need to push yourself after all you did go threw one hell of a fight.” Drake said walking beside Cinaed pushing it.
“No it’s fine. If they’re gonna be stronger people out there I need to get as strong as I can.” Cinaed said groaning against the heavy machine. Helena ran outside, yelling.
“Blair! Blair! Get your gun out!” Helena yelled run toward Blair. Freddy and Cinaed stopped and looked at Helena. The machine stopped automatically.
Blair held out his hand and gun appeared in hand. He almost automatically dropped it along with his gravity gun. He held his hand and Cinaed ran over. Freddy watched as Cinaed ran. Drake ran with him. Cinaed and Drake looked at Blair. His hand was burned they looked down at the gun it was a sniper rifle and it was toast. It was burned the fine wood on it was shard and magic bullets were leaking from the chamber. The glowing sparkly gray magic leaked from the chamber. Some parts of the metal were red like they were in a fire. Cinaed ran to the back of the machine and grabbed a pair of gloves used to fix the harvester when it got clogged with something or it stalled or something. He brought them back to Blair and Blair put them on quickly. He then spawned in gun after gun. Each looking like it had been burned as they fell into the pile of the burned and destroyed guns. Blair looked in horror as every gun he spawned in was destroyed. He final ran out of guns the only guns he didn’t teleport to him was the flare gun and portal gun. He fell to his knees looking at the smoking guns.
“What happened?” Blair said picking up his shotgun.
“The warehouse district that you house your guns. It’s burning.” Helena said. “The city around it is going crazy after that fight with Cinaed and that woman. People are afraid of being taken somewhere and want answers.” Blair looked up to her and then looked down at his guns and began to cry. Cinaed felt bad for him but there wasn’t much he could do.
“Blair don’t cry. You have insurance on your guns. remember?” Drake said. After a few minutes, Blair wiped his face and got up. Helena had gone inside by that time Blair got up. When Blair got up and went inside with Drake, Cinaed and Freddy resumed their work.
Meanwhile inside Blair and Drake went into the garage and got into their car and hitched up the trailer. They then drove to a large building with multiple shops. They parked in a parking lot and walked to a shop with a sign outside reading “Titanic Insurance Co.” with a ship on the bottom of it. They walked into a small office with about 4 desks. It had pictures of a ship being built. They went into an office and sat down. On the other side of the desk was a man smoking a cigar and looking over some papers. He looked up and put the papers down. The man had large glasses, a mustache and a bowler hat. He wore a brown suit. His name was Salut Chopper.
“Well if it isn’t the Ignus Family. Tell me how is Cinaed.” The man said.
“Good. How’s the Titanic going?” Drake said.
“Better than your son nothing is going wrong.” Mr. Chopper said. “So what brings you here today, Mr. Ignus?”
“Yeah well it’s about Blair’s guns.” Drake said.
“Oh I see. Well we’ve had people in here about that all day.” Mr. Chopper said.
“So what can you do for us?” Drake said.
“Well good thing you came after our new shipment of magic supplies otherwise we may not have what you guys want.” Mr. Chopper said. He got up and closed the door and on the door was a cord and he hooked it up to his arm. Also on the door was a dial and he turned the knob. He then unhooked the cord and opened the door. It was a hall with guns showed on the walls. The 3 of them walked into the hall.
“Well you can pick any guns you want and then we’ll go threw and pick the guns you really want.” Mr. Chopper said.
“I don’t need to pick multiple guns to pick from one all I need is to pick the one the first time.” Blair said.
“Alright well I’ll give you all the time you need.” Mr. Chopper said as he went threw the door. “Oh by the when you want to leave just open this door. Don’t worry about people it won't open when living things are in the other doorway.” Mr. Chopper said as he left and closed the door.
“Alright buddy let’s look at this list.” Drake said.
“We don’t need that list.” Blair said.
“Why?” Drake said.
“A basic Gun Magis knows what he needs for basic guns.” Blair said looking over that walls of guns.
“Alright so what do you need?” Drake said.
“Well since my flare gun is being worked on by you and Cinaed has my new rifle well it’s a gauntlet but still. I…. Need…. a powerful one-shot gun, a machine gun, sniper rifle, a heavy gun, a handgun and an explosive gun.” Blair said. “The explosive gun isn’t my thing but I could always use one.”
“Alright well this should be easy. We’ll probably finish before the sunsets.” Drake said with confidence. They went to a red spot on the floor that stood out from the white polished floor. Blair stepped on it and he raised his arm raising it as if he was holding a shield up to defend himself and a blue screen came out of his lower arm and formed a rectangle in front of him. split into 4 screens one above the original and one to it’s left and one to it’s right. It showed many things.
“Computer go simple weapons classes.” Blair said. The screens changed to show what he asked. “Now show me hand held guns. Multi round.” Blair said. The hall reorganized to show what he asked for. He looked over the firearms. That was until one caught his eye. “Computer identify firearm HH 468.” Blair said looking at the gun.
“Firearm HH 468: This Firearm is a USM Exorcism Revolver. This weapon is know to take out the monsters of the night and used to kill the ghouls, vampires, and others monsters in the great Civil war. This weapon holds 4 bullets. Each chamber had a crucifix of a special wood that blesses bullets when you say the words to activate it and the same words to deactivate it. The steel is made of Olivium.” The computer said.
“Fantastic. A lightweight, quick weapon with an extra feature.” Blair said with a voice as cold as iron. “Computer change Armoury to Home: My Room. Also add weapon to Armoury.”
“Yes Blair Ignus.” The Computer said and teleported the gun out of sight.
“Well one gun down.” Drake said.
“Yeah. Now Computer go simple weapons classes. Now show me Powerful shot weapons. Example: Shotgun.” Blair said. The same thing like last time happened with shotguns and other weapons of that nature. The weapons were much more organised with more holy weapons then other random weapons. Blair pasted them and looked at the weapons. He would pick up a weapon and look at it and them put it back. Drake looked at the weapons but just out of curiosity. Blair final picked up a weapon with a noticeable curiosity.
¨Computer identify SG 36.¨ Blair said.
¨SG 36: This Shotgun is a fairly old model of Shotgun that was used in the Europe Falling of Spain to fight the middle front of the war. This shotgun is triple barreled and can fire 1 shot at a time, 2 bullets at once or 3 at once. This weapon is unfortunately made of 20% Limporium to how contain the power and not explode the barrel.” The Computer said.
“Blair you do you really want to getting his gun?” Drake said.
“A gunman should know what the heck he’s shooting at and even though I’ll have a slower move but I’d rather have that with a lot of smack.” Blair said. Drake noided. “Now Computer go simple weapons classes. Now show me Machine guns.”
It did what it did before and machine gun weapons lined the wall. Blair walked it once more a lot caught his eye and he had to walk threw it again. He finally found one.
“Computer identify MG 1022.” Blair said.
“MG 1022: This Machine gun was created for fighting pirates being attached on Freight ships. It uses Tuckium to change the uses magic into 3 types of magic. Normal Magic Bullets, Ice Magic Bullets, and Fire Magic Bullets. All with the help of cock lever, one for each one. It is made of light fiber steel and gianttoe elephant skin.” The computer said.
“I’ll be taking that.” Blair said. And not to repeat myself about 2 more times and to save paper I’m just gonna say what he got next. He got a sniper rifle that was mostly made of wood it was an M1 garand and he had gotten a rocket launcher that looked like it were made sewer line pipes that shot a rocket that would break into 3 rockets called The Tri Busta.
“Okay this is it. Computer Show me heavy weapons.” Blair said with a big smile on his face. It was odd because the walls didn’t move. Blair had never had a heavy gun since the minigun he had owned was classified as a Machine gun. A transparent red wall appeared over the weapons blocking them. A rectangular hole appeared under the weapons and they sunk into it slowly. When the weapons were all the way in the holes they closed up and the blank white walls expanded. They had to be at least 4 times as wide now. The red transparent wall appeared again. The floor opened up one more time and guns appeared out of the floor. Most of them were large and others were at moderate good size but all had a similar purpose. Once fully up the red transparent wall fell and Blair ran down the hall with the biggest grin on his face. Drake walked down the hall also with a smile on his face. Blair then ran back to computer.
“Computer show me weapons that would suit me. Company history and weapon history unlocked.” Blair said. Drake walked back to Blair and some weapons fell into the floor while other slide forward to take their place. There was about 12 left and that’s when he saw a gun that made him smile like a psychopath finally meeting someone of equal crazy and about to fight each other.

Part 3
Night Mode
It had been about a week since the FFM convention and Dike and Cinaed were sword playing out in the field. Dike had her hook sword and Cinaed with his Cutlass. Dike had her white hair while Cinaed was normal. Dike was trying her hardest to hit Cinaed but Cinaed blocked every strike. She struck one more time before Cinaed put his sword inside of the hook and yanked it away from her. He grabbed the handle of the sword.
“I suppose the hook sword isn’t your style.” Cinaed said.
“Damnit.” She covered her mouth. “I’m sorry.” She said in a hurry.
“Don’t worry I don’t really care but what I do care about is how much money you’re spending on swords that don’t meet what you want in them. You’ve already gone threw 3.” Cinaed said looking at the hook.
“I know but I need a weapon before I can control my blood card.” She said looking at her hands remembering what the lamia said. Cinaed walked up to her.
“Tell you what I’ll help you find a weapon tonight since you kept me company in the hospital room.” Cinaed said.
“Really?” Dike said happily.
“Yeah.” Cinaed said. She began to run toward the company hall. “I’ll pick you up 7 okay?” Cinaed said.
“OKAY!” She said excited. “Finally a date with Cinaed. This is the greatest day of my life.”
7 o’clock rolled around and Dike was wearing a white dress sitting outside on a steel white chair in the courtyard in front of the Company hall. She had her hook sword on the table, tapping the table with her finger. She had her hand on her cheek waiting. She was accompanied with the lights strung outside. She then heard something tapping the posts. She looked and in the darkness she saw a dimly lite Cinaed hitting the wooden posts that bordered the field and side of the road. He was wearing a pair of black pants and a flannel for a jacket. It had his sword and was tapping the posts. When he was at the corner of the courtyard finally looked at her.
“Ready to go?” Cinaed said.
“Yep.” Dike said getting up. They walked from the border of the main town to the main town. The street were lit with blue and green lights. It was busy and clam at the same time. They went into a store and returned the sword with only a $0.25 out of $1.25 return. The store was like a normal store but the shelves were lined with swords, axes, bows, arrows and other things like that but no fire arms. They looked at the swords for about half an hour.
“What if we aren’t looking at a sword?” Dike said.
“What?”
“Well we’ve see how my power and we’ve also seen all I need is a cut to get to someone.” Dike said.
“Wow I can’t believe I hadn’t that about that before.” Cinaed said.
“Well now we have to figure out what weapon I want.” Dike said.
“Yeah so it has to cut…. I GOT IT!!” Cinaed said.
“What? What?” Dike said.
“My father brought me to this store when I was just when my title of Dragon Wielder was getting around and he showed me a weapon that would fit you like a glove.” Cinaed said smiling.
“That was a great shopping trip, Cinaed.” Dike said holding a hamburger. They were at an outdoor restaurant eating. Dike had a bunch of bags next to her while Cinaed had a few next to him as well.
“I know right.” Cinaed said continuing to drink from his glass that was in the shape of a tea kettle.
“I never knew they sold glass cups in the shape of boots.” Dike said.
“I never even knew they sold photos of my fight with Phoenix.” Cinaed said.
“Can you show those pictures?” Dike said taking another bite out of her hamburger.
“Sure.” Cinaed said passing Dike the pictures. He then “Heard a voice say “Hi Cinaed.” He looked around. “Did you hear that?” Cinaed asked Dike.
“Hear what?” Dike said.
“Nothing.” Cinaed said. Dike just finished her burger and looked at Cinaed’s.
“You gonna eat that?” Dike asked.
“Na you can have it on the way back.” Cinaed said getting up picking up his bags.
“Alright.” Dike said picking up her bags and stuffing what was left of Cinaed’s burger. They began to walk. Dike looked at Cinaed and began to blush.
“Hey Cinaed.” Dike said. Cinaed looked at her. “Do you like me?” She asked like it were the toughest thing to do in the world.
“Of course after all I did take a magic bullet for you.” Cinaed said.
“That’s not what I mean. I mean like like me.” She said. Cinaed looked at her confused and then began to blush a little finally figuring out what she said. “I’m sorry I asked.” Dike said about to run off. Cinaed grabbed her arm.
“No you don’t have to be sorry. I do feel that way toward you.” Cinaed said. She looked at him and smiled and hugged him.
“Oh by the way do you have a girlfriend?” Dike said.
“Nope.” Cinaed said continuing to hug her. She looked at him and he looked at her and kissed.
Chapter 7
Part 4
New Company Mates
The morning came and Dike was just finishing her studies and Maris was drinking a glass of water across the table from her reading a book on a creature that was blue and looked like a poorly drawn 2-D hedgehog called a Sanic. Helena was behind the counter and it was pouring outside. Lights were lit up to light up the large room.
“Hey Maris. Where’s Kevin?” Dike asked.
“Oh well. I guess he’s either at a hospital or out on a job.” Maris said still reading.
“What do you mean?” Dike said interested.
“Well all blood cards have a weakness. Cinaed’s weakness is that his power takes a long time to load up and Keith’s is a severe one. His is that direct sun light hurts him.” Maris said.
“Wait what?!” Dike said. “No one told me about this! What if my weakness is water?” Dike said. Maris put her hand on Dike’s head.
“Neptune’s Touch.” Maris said. It was like someone dumped a bucket on Dike’s head. “Well you’re not yelling out of pain or dead, so you’re fine.” Maris said smiling. “Besides you already bathe in the company hall living quarters.”
“We have a living quarters?” Dike said.
“You haven’t been there?” Maris said.
“I’ve been bathing in Vernon and Marleen’s house.” Dike said.
“We have to show you it.” Maris said.
“What’s stopping us?” Dike said.
“This paper work I need to do to get in the living quarters to live there.” Maris said.
“You want to live there?” Dike said.
“Yeah, I need a place I can live outside my house.” Maris said.
“Well can we go if I want to live there?” Dike said.
“Yeah.” Maris said smiling and getting up. They went to a what can only be described as a close little village with about 30 little houses. These houses were round and looked like they couldn’t fit more than 2 people to live in one. They also looked like they were under maintained with vines beginning to take over the little houses. Oddly enough the giant pine tree and garden that surrounded it was well maintained. They were all in a square area of about 4 by 4 arcs. They also had a few normal buildings that were bath houses and other things.
“Wow. This is incredible!” Dike said looking around.
“MARIS!” A voice said. It came from a woman a little shorter than Maris. She had wavy blonde hair and a little chubby. She ran at Maris and hugged her from the side.
“Hi Canan.” Maris said patting her head.
“Oh I love you I love you. I love you.” She said and then saw Dike. “Who’s she?” Canan said like she was an enemy.
“She’s the bartender at the company hall. She wants to live here.” Maris said.
“Like you? But you are suppose to live with me.” Canan said sounding disappointed.
“I’m sorry but I want my own, home.” Maris said.
“Okay.” Canan said. Canan then walked with them hugging Maris’s arm.
They walked around the little village. Maris showed Dike what was there like the bath house and storage buildings. When they walked out Canan let go and went into a house.
“Hey Maris. Is Canan…. You know.” Dike said.
“Is Canan what?” Maris said.
“Never mind.” Dike said trying to cover up her tracks the best she could.
