Part 9 Epilogue
Earth, it was sh*t in Karkats opinion, so far he actually detested the place. It was too bright, too much flora, and almost everywhere he went people somehow p*ssed him off. Dave had told him that taking walks around the place to get use to it would help, but no matter what, he always hated the walks, or at least thats what he told himself. He did however enjoy the fact that nobody was trying to kill him yet, his blood color meaning nothing in this world, except maybe to the other trolls. Things were different here for sure.
Kanaya and Rose lived somewhere off in Canada doing who knows what together, but they were happy. Dave and he lived in Texas, and John and Vriska lived with one another in Washington. Jade? she was in Hawaii, living closer to civilization now, and enjoying her time there, she even acquired a tan finally.
The other trolls on the planet, and even Karkats friends in some cases lived in apartments designed specifically for trolls, the humans a bit ethnocentric and racist about everything, and didnt really want to put up with the troll species. There was even laws put in to protect themselves from the trolls. Trolls and Humans couldn't marry, Trolls couldnt vote, Trolls couldnt run for anything (unless it was a rare troll only town then they could vote for their own mayor and things like that) and Karkat could really care less. As long as he was fine he was happy. Its not like they could keep him from living with Dave, humans were allowed to take trolls in if they wanted.
He had arrived back home to the apartment he lived in with Dave, sighing, and made his way inside to the elevator. Right when he pushed the button, someone came up shouting out "Stop!" gruffly. Karkat jumped and quickly pushed the open door button, the short boy running in and huffing.
"Thanks i guess." He said, eyes glancing up at him occasionally. Karkat noticed that his eyes were crimson. His hair, eyebrows, and the tips of his eyelashes were died black, dangerously so, and his skin wa
s a very pale hue. His cheeks were flushed red, noticing the other staring at him. "Could you stop f*cking checking me out you creep, Humans and Trolls don't mix." He said gruffly with a warning tone, the door opening and the small human quickly departing.
Karkat couldn't even get a word in but he knew one thing for sure, he hated that kid.
