Call Me Captain Gally

Call Me Captain Gally

You arrive one morning in a place called The Glade. You eventually meet a boy, Gally, not a lot of people like him but you don't mind his ' bossyness ' and hatred of most of the Gladers. In the end you realise that under the rough and mean exterior he is just as sweet and warm-hearted as Chuck, especially when he's around you.

Welcome To The Glade

Welcome To The Glade The sun shone on my face. I stepped out of the concrete vine woven maze. I took a few steady steps onto the fresh green grass. The warm brisk air filled my lungs. I'm out, I thought to myself. I heard yelling, I looked up from my dirty, black boots and saw a stampede of people running towards me yelling. "Look a girl came from the maze!" I heard someone say."Quick, get her" said another. They were getting closer now, not that far... "Awww sshhiiitt!" I finally came to my senses, I turned around and started to run back into the maze. Somebody tackled me to the ground. "Crap." I screamed, "Get of me!" I squirmed while a tall teenage boy with black hair held  me down. "Stop moving" he said, "Minho, help, I can't hold her down!" "I'm comin', Thomas." replied another teenage boy, he came over and helped hold me down. He was an Asian boy, he  had spiky black hair and light brown skin.

The rest of the group rushed over panting. They were all boys...except for one, it was a girl. I noticed a young chubby boy with brown curly hair like mine. He had a worried look on his face. He smiled at me, I managed to squeeze a smile out in return. Nobody noticed though, they were to busy arguing about what they should do with me, "Chuck her in the pits for now" a light brown haired teenager spat while looking at me in disgust, he had green eyes and freckles. I couldn't help but stare at his oddly shaped eyebrows, they weren't ugly just strange. I forced myself out of the trance. "We can't do that." said a skinny boy with light wavy hair, "she hasn't done anything wrong." "Newt's right, Gally. We can't anyway, that's just cruel. " the girl finally said. "Ugh, fine, Theresa." the green-eyed boy grumbled and ordered the two black haired boys. " help the filthy thing up." He turned his back and walked away.

I erupted with anger. "Oy, ass-hole!" I yelled. "What do you want?" he yelled back, he turned around and was storming towards me. He stopped, his face was so close to mine I could feel his hot breathe on my cold cheeks. " You know you're a real jerk. Why don't you pull your finger out of your ass and do something yourself... you filthy thing." I said the last part mockingly while we were staring into each others green eyes with fury. He pushed me to the ground and was striding off, his footsteps thumping on the earth. "Fine, run off like a little sissy." I screamed. He turned around, his nostrils flaring. He walked towards me angrier than before. He picked me up off the ground by the collar of my shirt with his fist ready in midair aimed at my face. "Do it, I dare you." I whispered. He just lowered his fist and yelled in my face screaming like a maniac. In reply I looked him in the eyes and then downwards and spat on his shoes.

"Shuck you." he said and put me down gently.
"I only spat on your shoes and called you those names because you called me a 'filthy little thing', you retard" I explained quite rudely. He was still standing there, our eyes meeting perfectly. His fury melted away when a tear dropped from my green flower-patterned eye. "Why are you crying?" he asked with a worried yet 'I don't care' tone lingered in his speech.  I took a step back and could no longer feel his warm breathe heating up my cold skin, I raised my hand and hurtled it towards his freckled cheek slapping him in the face. "And that's not for letting me fight you." A smirk crept across my lips which then turned to a smile, not in hatred but with humor. He turned back around and returned the smile then held out his hand, he had the other on his face where I hit him. I shook his hand and he said, "Welcome to the Glade." "Thanks" I said  in return. He stood next to me, looking  at the fields of  grass and crops and hand-built huts with accomplishment.
"I'm Gally, by the way."  "Kinaé. You guys build all this stuff yourselves?"   "Yep" he replied.
