Chapter 1 ~ Mindless are You? Or Not.

???? POV

I felt myself getting tired from running non-stop. My muscles ached, my joints creaked. But, I kept on running. Whom am I running from? My conscious asked. Well, the Mindless is whom I'm running from. Well, then my conscious asked, why are you running from them? Aren't you one on them? Well, yes, but no. I used to be one of them. But, for some reason the serum they force people to take so that they turn into Mindless ones.

Though, for some random reason, the serum wore off on me. So, now, I have control over my body again. Bad thing was that I couldn't remember anything of before I originally became Mindless. I had the body of an eighteen year old, but I felt as if I had been around for more than eighteen years. 

I slowed my pace as I realized that the mindless were no longer chasing after me. I must of lost them do to all the running. I thought. But now I also finally looked around. I was in an abandoned rundown town. I saw a sign saying 'Welcome To Harvest' I also saw another sign saying, next town over, Scalene. That towns name reminded me of the FoS, FoS was short for Factions of Scale. I remember hearing something's about them. But I was mainly tasked with dealing with the other group of survivors known as travelers. Or Trailers.

I searched the town quickly seeing if there was anything of use, there wasn't. So, I started making my way down the road leading to Scalene. I still had on my uniform, but mine was slightly different. Instead of it being the standard one, I wore a grey long sleeved button up collar shirt with black pants along with black army like boots. I had a black jacket over my shirt. I also had a plain black tie. But, it wasn't tight. It was loose around my neck. I liked it that way. I wore a black studded choker as well a bluish purple-black crystal pendant. I was a pendulum.

The sun was starting to set as I saw the pale outline of Scalene. But, by the fact I could see a fence it might still have people there. That may either be a good thing or a bad on on my part. As I might look in better condition as being an ex mindless. Hopefully I meet someone nice, or at least someone not trying to blow my head off with a sword, gun, magic, or even bare hands. Oh yes that would be very nice.

I had sat down for a bit to rest, even if I didn't truly need to. I did anyways. But, it didn't last long mainly because I didn't want to get to the town in the dead of nighttime. That would make me seem more like a threat.

I finally made it to the tall metal fence surrounding Scalene. I felt a spotlight shine down on me. I looked up to see a person with dark brown hair. "Who are you!?" the person, well, he yelled to me. I just looked up at him, trying to decipher the situation. I was about to speak when I heard a voice. "Eren! Who are you shinning the spotlight on?" I saw a girl with back hair walk to the boy who I now know his name is Eren.

"He's talking to me, miss." I said looking up. I saw her eyes meet mine. "Who are you?" she asked. I thought about what I was going to say, I was known as Silver but I knew that wasn't my real name. Sadly, I didn't know what my real name was. So I thought. If I was starting new, I should have a new name. "My name is.. Yuto." I said looking up to her.

"I mean no harm, I don't know where I come from I just woke up in Harvest and made my way here." I said. I didn't enjoy to lie, but at least most of what I said was true. They ended up letting me in, I found out that the girls name was Mikasa. They were taking me to the people who ran this place.

As I was lead into the town we went what used to be a highschool, but I could tell that was no longer its use. Once we got inside I saw quite a few people going about, I noticed that there was multiple tables in what I knew was the schools common room. They led me up to a room with a window looking out to the town. "So, this is the boy you found Eren?" I looked away from the window to see a girl, she had purple and black hair like my own. But the purple in her hair was darker. I also saw a few strips of silvery white in her hair.

"I'm Yumi, one of the leaders here. What's your name?" Yumi also had soft bluish-Grey eyes. She was smiling at me with her outstretched hand. I gently took her hand and shook it, then I spoke. "My name's Yuto.. Moon Yuto." I said softly as I put my hand down to my side. "Well, nice to meet you Yuto, welcome to the Factions of Scale." I felt my eyes widen slightly. I was here? At their base? I have to tell the King--no. No. No, I won't tell the king, I am no longer his slave. I am no longer mindless. 

I am not mindless anymore. I can make my own decisions. "Yuto, would you like to join us? The more people we have, the bigger chance we have of beating the Shadow King and his Mindless dummies." I was about to say something about 'us' not being mindless but I remembered just in time that I wasn't mindless anymore. It was going to take awhile to get that embedded into my conscious. Instead of saying something stupid, I said, "Yeah, sure, I would love to take out the King. Especially after everything he's done."

"Great! It's going to be about time to go to the common area to eat, so come on." I just nodded in response. This was going to be one strange ride.

A\N: Whelp here's chapter one. More people will be introduced next chapter. But, some might be different look, age, or slightly personality wise. But it will still be the same character. (With the exception of Yuto, but that's because he never died so he's still his first life. Also he was a mindless for so long that he forgot how to show feelings and other personality traits.) ~ Silver Moon ?
