Beginning

(Ara's P.O.V)
"Ara! ARA!" Silencia calls. Her face is worried and pale.
"What?" I turn to her.
"It's...It's Ida!"
"What about her?!"
"Come and see!"
I follow Silencia, feeling worried. She leads me to Ida's bedroom. I gasp.
Ida is in bed, not moving. Her tail is limp.
"What's wrong with her?" I ask worriedly as we go back into the hall.
"She is seriously ill, Ara!" Silencia exclaims. "We need to do something within 24 hours or she will die!"
My face turns pale. "Is there a cure?"
"Well..." Silencia hesitates.
"What?"
"Nothing." Silencia answers, turning away.
"No, tell me!" I urge. I need to save Ida, no matter what the cost is.
"There is one cure..."
"What is it?? Tell me!"
"A...A sacrifice."
I look at Silencia. "I need to do it."
"No." Silencia says. "You can't."
"Why not?"
"I can't lose you!"
"But I can't lose Ida!"
Silencia bites her lip. "I'll go."
"No! You can't!"
"Yes I can."
"Silencia, no!"
"I have to."
"No, please, Silencia!"
"Ara." She places a hand on my shoulder. "I need to do this."
I watch in despair as she turns and goes back into Ida's bedroom and locks the door.
