The Secrets of Life

I am a Liar.

        I am not going to pretend that there is a secret to a happy life. I understand why the title might be confusing then. "Why promise secrets and deliver doubt?" You may ask. Too many people spend their lives searching for secrets or the meaning of life... they are searching for short cuts to some sort of success they have dreamed up, but short cuts are nothing more then hallucinations.
        What do people want most in the world? Is it money, fame, family, or maybe a legacy... no, its none of the above. What people want most in the world is to be happy. They feel that wealth or recognition or maybe love will make them feel this way and that's why they take short cuts to get these things. You cannot force happiness you can only accept it. It is in all of us to be happy no matter our situation. Whether we are poor, no one knows our name, or we seem perpetually alone... we have the capacity to be happy if only we allow it.
        I know a lot of the kids on this site are in a time in there lives when they question everything. They feel there is some secret to life that they must unlock or happiness will never come. They feel there future depends on besting others, but this is not true. I am not going to pretend like these words will solve your every self doubt or that what I say applies to everyone, but if it can apply to just one person and help make growing up for them just a little easier then these hours typing this out for the few that will read it will be well spent.
