The Thing with Calvin
It was a Monday, Clyd had returned home from searching for Calvin, his older brother. He searched all over town, every single alleyway, every single nick and cranny. But he didn't check the other side of town. He wanted too, he wanted to so bad, but you would have to pay before you go in. And sadly, he was broke. That's why he devised a plan that night...
Twelve o' clock pm, everyone was asleep, except Clyd. He was wide awake, thinking this entire plan over. He sat up in his bed, breathing heavily, scared about what he was about to do.
He stood up, closing his eyes and calming down, going into zen mode. For a moment nothing was happening, but then, his feet left the ground, he was slowly floating up to the ceiling. He closed his eyes tighter, letting a few tears drip form his eyes. Clyd's back touched the ceiling, making a low thump sound. He slowly opened his eyes and looked around, crying silently. He shifted in the air a bit, positioning his feet on the ceiling.
He pushed off, floating a bit nearer to the window. He kicked his legs out, almost like swimming, and he finally grasped the window sill. He pushed the window open, swimming out of his room and to the cold night. He shivered and gripped the windows ledge, looking around, frightened
Once he calmed down, he pushed off the window ledge, floating about in the air. He started to air ' swim' floating towards the other side of town, passing over the giant gate that seperated that side of town from this side of town.
He smiled, and continued to move around in the air, getting the hang of it better. He stayed in place an hour or two, trying to move forward and look around, but he failed. But he soon figured out a way to move easier, he leaned to the side a bit, like steering a plane, and like he thought, he flew to the side moving forward over alleyways and alleyways.
All the lights were off in the houses, so he didn't bother checking, so he continued to look at alleyways, hoping to find his brother. A certain alleyway caught his attention, a rotting stench found it's way to his nose. He scrunched it up and landed on top of a building, looked down at that aleeyway.
He gasped when he saw the rotting corpse in that alleyway. He tried to get a better look, but his foot slipped from the edge, and he fell down to the ground, hitting his back first. He cried out, whimpering. Clyd sat up whimpering, clutching his head. He was lucky, no bones were broken.
But his heart was. In a pool of water and dried blood, laid his brother, Calvin. He felt the tears build up, and he couldn't help but scream in grief and misery...
