Chapter Five
"VOLESTAR!" Dewfang yowled, "we found a few cats on our territory!". Volestar padded towards the patrol, who did indeed have three cats. "You three, introduce yourself!" Volestar growled, the cats stepped forward. "We are Ashlift, Robinpaw, and Sparrowpaw of Cloud Clan, we were sent by Skystar" the gray tom Ashlift meowed."What's the massage?" Volestar asked, keen to hear what Skystar wanted. "To come to Cloud Clan camp, to talk about something" Sparrowpaw meowed. "To the camp? We don't have wings!" Volestar stared at the Cloud Clan cats and their big wings. "That's were we come in handy! We're going to carry you!" Robinpaw bounced up with excitement. "Um, well," Volestar looked bewildered, Flamingpaw stepped up.
"You should do it, maybe it's about the prophecy! And you could bring me!" Flamingpaw whispered to his leader, Ashlift had heard. "Certainly not! Unless your name is Flamepaw!" Ashlift growled, Volestar was still thinking. "Oh really? Well guess what? My name is Flamingpaw!" Flamingpaw growled, and batted Ashlift's ear. "Really! Well, fine" Ashlift meowed, but his eyes were full disagreement.
"I have made my decision, I and Flamingpaw will go to Cloud Clan!" Volestar yowled. Cheers rose from the Robinpaw, Sparrowpaw, and Ashlift.
The cats walked out of Forest Clan camp, and waited for the flight. "Ready?" Robinpaw asked, she lowered his wings. "YES!" Flamingpaw skidded to the apprentices, "I'm ready!" "I don't know-" Volestar was cut off as he was lifted into the air. "Weee!" Flamingpaw giggled as he was lifted into the air, "Volestar, Isn't this AWESOME?!". Volestar was too terrified to answer, his paws on his head.
"You sound like a kit, Flamingpaw" Ashlift sneered. "You act like you put ants in your own fur!" Flamingpaw snarled back at him. Surprised a apprentice talked back to him, Ashlift shut his mouth.
Clouds brushed Flamingpaw's ears as she headed nearer to the camp, it was harder to breath because of the altitude. "Ah, we're here!" Robinpaw exclaimed as she landed. Flamingpaw gasped, and stared in amazement.
