Hate
Maggie POV:I was walking home after school crying my eyes out cause I hate my life. Ever since my parents died, people had been bullying me. They say that they meant to get into a car accident because I was a disappointment, or that my sister is thinking about putting me up for adoption cause she can’t take it anymore and the worst of all they threw my father’s journal away and they took my mother’s necklace that I kept just so I can remember them when I need them the most. My sister Elise has our mother’s leather jacket and our father’s watch. My sister was beautiful she has brunette hair, brown eyes, slightly tan, and slim—she looked just like our mother while I looked like my father. I had light blonde hair, blue eyes, pale, and really slim. When I made it to my house I saw my sister in the kitchen eating dominos pizza. She looked really pretty she was wearing a white crop top, light blue skinny jeans, and barefoot. While I was wearing a red crop top, black leggings, and black boots. “Hey” she smiled. “Hey” I sighed sadly and put the journal on the table. My sister eyes went wide. “What happened” she asked clearly mad. “Those girls did it again,” I said sitting at the table eating a slice of pizza. “That’s it, we’re teaching them a lesson” she smirked. Oh boy whatever you do never mess with my sister or the people she loves. Cause you’ll be terrified of her for the rest of your lives. “What are you going to do?” I asked. “Oh, we’re going to pay them a visit” she said as she put on our mother’s leather jacket and black converse. I set my backpack on the couch as she grabbed her purse. Which is filled with fake spiders, toilet paper, and all that pranking stuff. “And what if we get caught” I asked. “Run if you value your life” she smirked. I rolled my eyes and we walked to their house. Seriously never mess with my sister. One time someone messed with me and she snuck into their house and filled the room with snakes. There are so many things she did that I kept count. 115, literally don’t mess with her. That why we’re not friends with any of the neighbors. After we made it to their house, no one was here except those girls. They were sitting on the porch and that’s when we caught their attention. “Hi girls” my sister smiled. “Hey Ms. Disappointment what’s your sister doing here” one of the girls asked. “Probably ran home crying to her sister and she’s here to defend her” the other girl laughed. My sister smirked. “Yeah, here’s the deal” my sister started off. “Mess with my sister, I’m going to mess with you,” my sister said taking out a jar with a spider on it. I started laughing cause she my favorite. They started screaming. “Ok, we won’t mess with your sister” one of the girls screamed. “Just don’t mess with us,” the other girl said. “Oh, honey I would have done a lot worse” my sister said. She put the jar down and opened the top and left it on the porch. “Enjoy” my sister said and left the girls who were running inside. “Where did you get that from” I asked. “That is a robotic spider that our father made for me,” she said and I started laughing. See our father was an inventor and our mother stayed home. Oh, I miss them so much. “So, you excited that school is over now” my sister smiled. “Excited—I’m way past that,” I said as she laughed. “Now, let’s go celebrate” my sister cheered until she bumped into someone. “Hey watch it,” she hissed. “Why don’t you” he spat back. She turned around and her mouth dropped. I couldn’t blame her he was around 5’8, light brown hair, hazel eyes, muscular, and he had a tattoo on his arm. “What” he hissed. “Nothing, now please leave before you go home with some missing teeth” she said sassily, he glared at her and left. “Wow, that dude is incredibly hot” she said. “Yeah, too bad you two would’ve been cute,” I teased. She glared at me. “Please don’t fill my room with snakes,” I said nervously. “I would never do that to you” she said sweetly. I sighed in relief. “Cause, I’d rather fill your room with spiders,” she said laughing as she walked away. My mouth dropped in fear. When we made it home, my sister ordered more pizza. She got cheesy bread sticks, pepperoni, and cheese. She got coke and she went to the store to get some chips. She was getting Doritos. I was in the living room choosing a horror movie, considering today the 1st day of summer.
Elise POV:
I decided to celebrate my 116 accomplishments. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking I’m a bit of a jerk for doing that but people were bullying my sister—she shouldn’t go through that experience, no one should. I grabbed cool ranch and original Doritos. I got a couple cans of coke. Yep, it just going to be my sister and me all summer. It’s going to be awesome. At least it was until that cute boy I bumped into on the street was in the same aisle with me. He might be a jerk but he was fine. I glared at him until he started walking toward me. “Hey, I just wanted to apologize about my behavior it’s just that I was having a bad day” he apologized. I can’t believe I’m doing this. “I’m sorry too it’s just that my sister was having a bad day so I paid her friend a little visit” I said. “Ah, so you must be the rebellious one in the family” he said. “Eh, it’s technically not a family it just my sister and me” I said. “Oh” he said. “Yeah” I said. “Well, it was nice seeing you again” he said. “Well, technically the first time wasn’t nice but I’ll just leave it like that” I said as he laughed lightly. “Hey, do you live in that big house in the neighborhood” he asked. “Uh, yeah why… are you stalking me?” I said. “No, my mother and I just moved in next door” he said. I nodded slowly as we walked to the cash register. “Cool, there’s finally a neighbor I might become friends with” I said as he gave a confused look. “Long story short mess with the people I love or with me I mess with you,” I warned. “Ah” he sighed. “Thanks for the warning” he said. “I’m the same,” he said. Where has this boy been my whole life? “Well, I’ll see you later” I said taking my groceries. “Need any help with that,” he asked. “Uh, no thanks I’m good” I said. “Okay, see you later” he said and left. I got in the car and drove home.
Time Skip:
When I made it home my sister rushed over to me. “Okay, Elise I don’t mean to alarm you but that boy we bumped into earlier” she panted. “Lives right next door to us” I said. “How’d you know?” she asked. “I bumped into him at the store” I said. “But, you were at the store for an hour, he came home 45 minutes ago” she said awfully confused. “But, he walked” I said confused too. “Does he have a twin?” she asked. “Not, that I know of” I said. “He told me he and his mother moved in,” I said. “I don’t know maybe he’s in track,” she said. “But, he looks a little old to be in school” I said. “So, you’re 18 and you’re not in school” my sister said in a duh tone. I rolled my eyes and looked at the house next to us. I shrugged it off and turned to my sister. “You hungry” I said. “Starved,” she said as I laughed at her silliness. We went inside as I made a plate of pizza for us and gave her the original and I got cool ranch. We ate pizza and watched horror movies all night. It was fun considering Maggie doesn’t have to go high school for 3 months.
